the vq35 isnt something to mess around with, they come factory built to almost maximum NA potential, nissan did an excellent job of extracting power from it. but, a K series accepts mods more reluctantly than the vq does. my rsx with just i/h/e reflash has taken out a couple 350's /370 as well as a nismo 370 (stock). imo the rsx, g/350z, m3, and the golf gti are in the same class.

I myself own a base model RSX 5-speed and am currently tuning it. the reason being..that even the base manual transmission rsx has some oomph when given all necessary parts and finally tuned w/kpro. you can also tell from a lot of rsx's in motion when the car shifts. the rsx in the video does slightly but the timing seems long = more like a 5 speed base or even an automatic . im no expert.. but i own a base and im just describing what it looks like to me.
The Z didn't need any mods to win, could just run stock. I'm not trying to hate or start a flame war or anything but when I see RSX, S type, whatever, I think a nice daily driver suited for a girl. I don't see a speed king, sorry.
No, the Z doesn't make a good daily driver at all. It's got 2 doors, no back seat, it's a sport car has poor visibility and only an automatic would be suitable for daily driver. It's twenty times the sportscar than the RSX and always will be the faster and more agile car. Also worse gas mileage. Oh yeah and it's a highly popular tuner car that has a real road presence. The RSX will never be able to do any of these things.
And to be honest the only Z's I've seen women drive are convertibles
I'd still take the Z. All it needs is a twin turbo kit to balance the playing fields between the two cars and the Z will win everytime. I love the GT-R to death and they're look beautiful and are fast for how much power they put out and how heavy they are, but it's still fat. Weight is the biggest disadvantage to the car.
They've got a kit that takes the Z to about 1000 horsepower. Obviously you'd have to get a whole new block built for the turbos, or have some serious work done to the stock one. But in the end the Z's always going to be the lighter car unless you stripped the GT-R down to nothing. Even then I'd say the Z stripped down will still weigh less.

personally as an RSX owner, you have to know the limits of your car. no way you can get the turbo for that cheap unless you're getting a stage 1 kit. if you get 05-06, K-Pro alone is nearly 2k.
If you have a choice between a 350z or a RSX and performance is your number 1 priority, go for the 350Z.
If you want 4 seats though, you have to go with the RSX :P
i had a integra type s which is the same as the rsx s and i recently upgraded to a skyline gtr and it made me realise how much better it is too have a bigger engine. the honda was a good car but it lacks power and torque for the money you are going to spend. in saying that if i had your choice i would go the 350z without a duobt.
No problem man, I would recommend the 2005-2006 models due to the increased horsepower and body mods(if you have the buck), but a 350z is a great car too, but you can't beat the reliability and transmission of an Acura. and btw, they usually don't discontinue a model in a sister company to replace it with another.

i've beate a couples 350zs before i dont know all the mods on them but all i have is an rsx type s with aem intake borla exhuast, everything else is stock. but if you build up a type s even a little those K series are quick as hell you just need someone who knows how to drive them.

Listen my fello friends.. I myself own a base model RSX 5-speed and am currently tuning it. the reason being..that even the base manual transmission rsx has some oomph when given all necessary parts and finally tuned w/kpro. you can also tell from a lot of rsx's in motion when the car shifts. the rsx in the video does slightly but the timing seems long = more like a 5 speed base or even an automatic . im no expert.. but i own a base and im just describing what it looks like to me.

The Z didn't need any mods to win, could just run stock. I'm not trying to hate or start a flame war or anything but when I see RSX, S type, whatever, I think a nice daily driver suited for a girl. I don't see a speed king, sorry.

No, the Z doesn't make a good daily driver at all. It's got 2 doors, no back seat, it's a sport car has poor visibility and only an automatic would be suitable for daily driver. It's twenty times the sportscar than the RSX and always will be the faster and more agile car. Also worse gas mileage. Oh yeah and it's a highly popular tuner car that has a real road presence. The RSX will never be able to do any of these things.
And to be honest the only Z's I've seen women drive are convertibles

I'd still take the Z. All it needs is a twin turbo kit to balance the playing fields between the two cars and the Z will win everytime. I love the GT-R to death and they're look beautiful and are fast for how much power they put out and how heavy they are, but it's still fat. Weight is the biggest disadvantage to the car.

They've got a kit that takes the Z to about 1000 horsepower. Obviously you'd have to get a whole new block built for the turbos, or have some serious work done to the stock one. But in the end the Z's always going to be the lighter car unless you stripped the GT-R down to nothing. Even then I'd say the Z stripped down will still weigh less.

right, that's pretty much what this discussion is about, certain cars have their own merits, the rsx has more seating and storage and is cheaper but not as fast as a Z, is the G35 nicer? sure it costs a good deal more. Same goes for the Porsche. There is really not a lot to compare about the Z and the RSX they serve different needs. And unless you have done a great deal of upgrades there is no reason to race a Z and RSX

There is no stock rsx type s that can beat a stock 350z. the oldest weakest Z still has about 80hp more and the newer 350z's have about 100hp more. It will take more than exhaust and intake to make an rsx beat a Z. I could see racing for fun but i always think it is so funny when rsx people race a Z being serious, lose and make bullshit excuses. personally as an RSX owner, you have to know the limits of your car. no way you can get the turbo for that cheap unless you're getting a stage 1 kit. if you get 05-06, K-Pro alone is nearly 2k.
If you have a choice between a 350z or a RSX and performance is your number 1 priority, go for the 350Z.
If you want 4 seats though, you have to go with the RSX :P

i had a integra type s which is the same as the rsx s and i recently upgraded to a skyline gtr and it made me realise how much better it is too have a bigger engine. the honda was a good car but it lacks power and torque for the money you are going to spend. in saying that if i had your choice i would go the 350z without a duobt.

No problem man, I would recommend the 2005-2006 models due to the increased horsepower and body mods(if you have the buck), but a 350z is a great car too, but you can't beat the reliability and transmission of an Acura. and btw, they usually don't discontinue a model in a sister company to replace it with another.
