@SpeaksTooSoon I'm assuming that in the post "Endgame" era, that he has found a way to conceal it better or is simply employing the station's emitters.
Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. We are Borg.Three phrases that forever will be burned into my mind after seeing them in The Next Generation for the first time. Started my obsession with cyborgs :)
Oh, I hated Voyager. They made the Borg much to easy to destroy. THE BORG ARE THE BORG! They are supposed to be terrifying and unstoppable. Voyager fires two photon torpedoes and a cube is destroyed. It took the Enterprise hacking the Borg cube through Captain Picard to destroy that cube.
This sounds like one of those super awesome rides at Universal Studios where its like a story & a ride.
Its times like this I wish I created Facebook b/c when your the world's youngest billionaire 'I wish I could buy that' suddenly becomes 'I wish I could think of a really cool multi-million dollar project to undertake'
& I wish Universal Studios had an awesome star trek ride becomes get Universal on the phone lets make it happen
I ALWAYS wanted to go to this, but live nowhere near vegas and this alone wasnt enough of a reason to go...i hate gambling and tacky stage shows...so vegas and me wouldnt get along. sad it shut down though.
FYI !! fellow Star Trek Fans "Star Trek the Exhibit" is coming to the midwest to Louisville Science Center in Kentucky Jan through May 2011. The exhibition features sets, costumes, priceless museum pieces and props from all five Star Trek television series and 11 Star Trek feature films, including the newest blockbuster film. The exhibition opens January 23, 2011
Thanks so much for posting this video. My family and I went to Star Trek the Experience in Las Vegas back in 2001 but this was not there yet. I have wanted so much to see it, now I can say I have **Thanks Again**
This part was neat, but I enjoyed the first part even more... It was fun when the Borg invaded and you saw the tourguides get attacked. I think one was pulled upwards through a hol in the ceiling by her hair...? ;)
@tuberumor wtf? really?! that sounds crazy.... i wish i could get to states a bit easier i would av loved that... do they give u rules or anything like that... like, dont try to help the tourguide when they get taken by the borg or something??..
Actually single ride tix for Klingon Encounter in 1998 were $10. By the time Borg 4D opened in 2004 tix for both rides were $24. By 2008 after we were bought out by the morons at Cedar Fair, tix for both rides went up to $50. They priced it into the ground.
@WarshipAngelus Actually the $50 tix price was only toward the end while we were owned by the nefarious Cedar Fair, and it was an all day pass for both rides, Borg Invasioin and Klingon Encounter.
Ah so that was there excuse lol , well at the end of engame the transphasic torpedos looked the same . I would have loved to tru this ride out I love star trek and I love the borg . Can i ask how realistic was it ? i mean the whole 4d thing . Did you feel that you were being assimilated ? and did you feel that the borg queen was in the room with you ?
@cowboykenny21 it was good. You see a borg jump out of a corner in a dark corridor and he slowly stalks you. So I thought that was more scary than anything.
Well this looks really good but there are still a few flaws , Quantum torpedoes are blue but the ones voyager fires are orange just like photon torpedoes . Still its good to know that the borg queen DID survive after endgame - and still does (at least in the Star trek universe) iot would be great to see her again in a future Star Trek
We've all talked about that torpedo issue since the ride opened, and the official justification that the Experience cast invented is that the atmosphere inside the cube altered the torpedos' appearance.
It was meant to play in Germany but was shipped to the US instead. I don't think it ever played in the UK, unless it was temporarily part of the short lived Star Trek Tour.
Thanks for posting this video... it looks like its from a high master source. This looks like it was an awesome ride...I will continue searching for a similar quality ride video of Klingon Encounter,
I wish that this place never got closed. this place meaned so much to to the fans. I dont hate the new movie but tng, voy, ds9 and the original series is the real star trek. when i met kate mulgrew she told me she would love to do a voyager movie, It would be alsome if her and picard teamed up to stop the borg queen. the Enterprise E and voyager would look great fighting side by side.
@pal42388 Well, it is in Los Vegas at a hotel, so it would not do so well to the general public. If it was at Disney World or something, it would be there forever, like the Star Wars ride at MGM (which looked like it was there since the 1980's).
@pal42388 you forgot to add refitted and future technology boosted Enterprise and Voyager (of course one or two additional Prometheus class ships (also future boosted) would be pretty with it´s (their) multivector assault mode)
Alright, so you have the main videos, however, do you have the side comm videos (ones where Janeway show up on) from the 4D theater and the overhead access hatch video?
Gotcha. Well my footage of those side screens are only a few pixels high, the source you're talking about is probably the site I donated it to. Don't worry, I'm sure all that stuff will surface in hi-res someday...
Ah okay, yeah those are it. Well, on that website, since the overhead access hatch video had enough pixelation to it, if you have it, would you mind uploading that to YouTube? Thats the last major piece of the Borg Invasion show that is missing from your channel. The small side screens are small, so thats no big at all.
Brings back memories of seeing this attraction in person! Gave me chills when the borg attacked the station(both in person and through the video). Can't wait to see the next part of your documentary! :-)
Thanks Vernon, I love what you do. I think I met you once. We tried to save it. Fortunately there's gonna be a new one, right? Enjoy your documentaries too. Thank you so much.
I saw this when my family was in Vegas for my brother's 21st birthday. It was amazing, I enjoyed it. I'm just sad the original experience is all gone.
$50 dollars!!!!???? When it first open up back in the l998 it was about 25 dollars per person.. Geesh, in ten years they went from twenty something to fifty dollars..
Borg Queen destroyed by a direct hit from a Starship phaser. Awesome!
