  • very well done, man. i can think of a million uses for this technique...

  • Am I listening to Ben Burtt?

  • Done this effect loads of different ways (I spend way more time in live making mad noises than is probably healthy) but I love this method! Thanks a lot, that was also a great idea about the relative speeds of the spaceships, got my mind goin.

  • THIS IS AWESOME !!

  • That, my friend, is badass. I love using naturally recorded sounds to get cool stuff like that.

  • This is like THE coolest sound I've ever heard...

  • very kool

  • I'm curious, how did you learn all of this?

  • @glitchnoise I studied about synthesis online. Sampler is basically a synth that allows you to using any source sound (like with all samplers). If you know digital synthesizers, then most samplers are a no-brainer. But the key is to listen really closely to an already-made sound, then try and remake it using the available tools. Thanks! :-)

  • @abletondaily I hope this isn't asking for too much, but I would really love to learn more about synthesis and production techniques on Ableton. Are there any sites out there that would help me get there?

  • @abletondaily im starting to believe that u are deadmau5, you know so much stuff exacly like him !!!

  • Thanks Mark! These tutorials are really helpful. Happy Holidays!

  • Are those sounds from a BBC sample cd?

  • @zogstarr Yes, the source sounds are :-)

  • What sound did you use for the overall sound at the beginign, sounds so cinematic, absolutely mind blowing thank so such for sharing this!

  • @Ketomorphik it's coming from a sqeeky crane recording as shown in video. But you can use any sound.

  • @silenzju I decided to upload the whole project. This way you can do what you want with it. I re-uploaded a working version of the doppler shift file. Bare in mind you will want the latest version of Ableton Live to read the file, updates are free from their website.

  • Hello Mark... Im sorry to say, but non of the files on your site is working...
