  • i have one and her names tinkerbell . they are nocturnal and sleep during the day

  • We didn't get one yet, but we're still toying with the idea...

  • Aww love the hedgehog...too darn cute !

  • This hedgehog was very cute... I have watched lots of hedgehog videos, and some of them can be nasty if they are not treated right.

  • cool video :)

  • Thanks!

  • What a cute pet but not to cuddly...hehe

  • They are furry and cuddly on their bellies but not on their backs...

  • Oh what a lovely hedgehog!

  • After seeing a lot of others on YouTube, I have to agree with you...

  • How interesting! The ferret is for a teenage boy - they are fast and smelly. You figure out which is which!! The hedgehog is kind of cute, in a bizarre way! Prickly! Which did you get? My husband wants an iguana. No allergies there, but it is NOT cute!

  • We didn't get a pet, and we still haven't decided that getting a pet of any kind is a good idea. We need more time to think about the pros and the cons... I once dated a woman who had a pet iguana. It was cool, but not exactly cute. It used to snort out salt from its nose and take a shit randomly. It slashed me with its tail when I picked it up. It didn't hurt, but it surprised me. They hang out in the tree tops in Grenada...

  • certainly is a weird animal, my sister had a ferret, another crazy animal...

  • never heard of pet hedgehogs before - keeping wild ones is illegal I think unless it happens to wander into your garden. I had ferrets and they do smell!

  • I don't believe anyone in the UK would keep one as a pet even if they were legal because they are wild animals over there... We have racoons and squirrels and rabbits wander into our yard all the time, and I'm not inclined to keep them as pets either, but a domesticated breed of rabbit is a remote possibility.

  • Hahahahaaa That was exactly my first impression. It looks like Cindy is holding a dead sea urchin.

Ferrets are little terrors. They are SO fast, and they'll get into anything and everything before you can blink. And I swear they can squeeze through holes you can barely see through. If you can see light under a door, they'll crawl under it. They're a riot!

  • I don't need a riot in my home LOL If Cindy had washed the pickle juice off her hands maybe the hedgehog would have been a bit less sour...

  • My husband wanted a Ferret and I thought we could try it out . We brought Him home

and when I picked him up he bit me and it felt like it went straight to the bone in my finger. I said "OH Hell No" and we packed him up and back to the pet store the same day. lol. The

Hedge hog is really cute, I don't think it would be much fun to play with. lol

  • Your ferret story made me laugh! The thing about hedgehogs is that they are soft and furry on the bottom, and they do warm up to you when they get to know you better from what I've read and from the videos that I've seen... We still haven't made a decision. Maybe we never will!!

  • My friend has a wife and 3 kids and one of these... It hates him and loves the others. He gets near it and is tried to attack him. But they is cute :)

  • Do you mean ferrets or hedgehogs or both?

  • @fehquig Hedge hogs.

  • Ferrets are a pain in the ass.

  • That's exactly the impression they give me :)

  • Wow, $130! I don't think you'd like a ferret, they're smelly and the ones I've known would bite.

Pets you wouldn't be allergic to; reptiles, tarantulas, fish, rocks, beer.

  • The ferret is out of the question. I like the low-maintenance characteristics of rocks LOL

  • I would choose a guinea pig before I would choose a hedgehog or ferret. Ferrets chew up everything and they stink. The hedgehog was really cute, it just didn't appear very friendly/cuddly. About your allergies - there are certain breeds of dogs that are considered hypo-allergenic (mostly terrier breeds).

  • I think the hedgehog gets more friendly as it gets to know you... That little fellow was falling asleep when we got there, so I'll give him that benefit. I would probably be more of a cat person than a dog person if I were allergic to neither kind of animal. Hypo-allergenic does not mean non-allergenic. To my system it's still a dog no matter what breed, but some breeds give me milder reactions than others, it's true.

  • I wouldn't recommend a ferret. I knew a guy that had one and it was always getting lose and chewing on things. The hedgehog was very cute, though.

  • We still have not decided on getting a pet, but the ferret is definitely not an option...

  • Ferret are cute but stinky, that hedgehog is so adorable I did not know people had them for pets.

  • The hedgehog fad is something that's apparently been gaining in popularity in recent years probably because they are so adorable and they're relatively easy to care for... It's illegal to keep them as pets in some places, or maybe the fashion has not reached your shores yet...

  • we used to have ferrets long ago. really loved them, but they do have a particular smell. if you adopt one from a rescue that is older, they are much better pets. cute prickly baby

  • One of my customers last night said that snakes make the best pets... We might look into rescue for a hedgehog, but they make better pets if they bond to you when they're young.

Cindy and I both didn't care for the ferret.

  • That was cute. Have never seen one before. My daughter has had a ferret for sometime. They need bathed often.

  • I have never seen hedgehogs except in children's books until recently... Ferrets look like too much work!

  • They're all damned cute. Have you made a decision yet?

  • We're still petless, and I like the freedom of that lifestyle choice... We're both in agreement that a ferret is a bad idea LOL

  • Ferrets stink and get mean as hell.

  • I agree, they reek... I was not at all attracted to the ferrets.

  • He is adorable

  • Cuteness is definitely one big reason for their growing popularity...

  • What interesting little creatures!! I never knew you could have a pet hedgehog! Hugs Cindy and Andy!

  • They sure grabbed our interest! I didn't know that people kept them as pets until Cindy saw one for sale on Craig's List or Used Victoria a couple of months ago... Ever since then she has wanted one, but this visit to the pet shop has dampened her enthusiasm a bit LOL

  • What a cute and fascinating little guy! And nature is amazing, what a perfection protection against predators! Very, very interesting, enjoyed this video very much! :)

  • The hedgehog is one of those early mammals. Apparently they have been around for about fifty million years! Those spines on their back are good survival tools...

  • Oh My, They "All" Are So Cute & Alot Of Fun But Really It's Alot Of Work To Have Any Animal Fish,Hamsters,Frogs, Dogs,Cats Etc.... I Have Had Mostly Every Critter And When It's Time to Go On Vacation "Nobody" Likes To Pitch In And Help (LOL) Good Luck On Your Choice! Great To See You Both!

  • Yeah, I'm a bit reluctant to get into all the work involved and then having to find a sitter when we go out of town. We haven't found the right one yet :)

  • I didn't know you could have a pet hedgehog! I WANT ONE!

  • Apparently it's illegal to have a pet hedgehog in some places...

  • very cute guys. i have always wanted one. hope you find the perfect one .

  • We're still looking!
