Once again... "freestyle has many meanings. It could be off-the-head, it could be a verse not attached to a song or a verse with no structure. Obviously, it's not off-the-head but this verse is ill regardless. One of most slept-on MC's ever.
I would say this is not a "real" freestyle from-the-top-of-the-dome sh*t. It's just too damn good... not even Supernat or Juice could do better. And I'm not sure Pharoahe is among the strongest freestyle emcees. I think I've heard the same verse before. But it doesn't matter... Pharoahe is among the 5 top emcees ever when it comes to any other skill... lyrics, delivery, flow, singing voice... you name it. Pharoahe is simply king.
