• y would anybody h8 this its cool!?! but thats there opinion so i really cant say anything.

  • 10 people are h@t3r$

  • Dude i just downloaded it from one of your other video, it,s the version 1.16 for information to all. But HOW I DO to record WHILE it's playing and make a video like this ? I do know to convert in MIDI and MP3 but not LIVE recoarding while playing. ?

  • @emixam101 : I have no idea - apart from when I use a piano/keyboard, most of the music I make is not in realtime. With a tracker (or MIDI sequencer), I enter note and event timings rather than play it live.

  • Do you think you're gonna return to doing music like this? I meant music with ModPlug Tracker?

  • omfg this is like...perfect! awesome job!!!!!!

  • can you make the song "omen" with windows "vista", "7" and "95" i think these windows versions fits the song or is it to noisey?????

  • Ok, id really like to make a song like this-

    Questions-

1)Is there a certain Version of ModPlug Trcker that you use, or is it the plain old one off their website?

    2) How hard is it to learn and use?

  • @sunshineface0014 : The version I used is linked to in the video description (it's the one with "softpedia" in the URL). It was 3 years ago that I made this, though, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's a newer version available.

As for learning to use it, searching for tutorials will probably help. it's different to common music arrangers, so you'll need to learn new stuff. The concept is more similar to MIDI files (but with many more controls/effects, and with samples built into the file).

  • i watch your mind fields now watch your head rock

  • Man, you are awesome!!! This software is VST host?

  • @THEH4VOC : It's a tracker - like an advanced sampler.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. =D

  • I always wish the video didn't end there... imo this is better than the original :)

  • Subscribed

  • This is Dangerous!! ;)

  • Amazing, dreat job man ;)

  • WOAH!!! this is unbelievable, my jaw dropped the entire time!! U rock!!!

  • you listen to prodigy as well? man, i wish i could meet you, anyway, you did a nice job in replicating that song too.. 'grats.

  • What the shit? Where have I heard this from?

  • it´s in the name search for mindfields^^

  • one word DAMN! your good

  • bill gates remix

  • thats a wonderful prodigy windows sounds remix. good job dude. ;)

  • Once again you amaze me. Although I think it would be a good idea to make more of these using your own compositions. After you churned out your first windows 98/xp sounds song, I bet you can come up with even more amazing things. :)

  • to many words in the video

  • i kinda got a headace for no rason

  • epic!

  • I like it mor than the original!

How much time took it to make it ?!?

  • OMG thats beastly i have the original song and it sounds exactly like it

  • Where to download the mp3 version???

  • That is pretty darn cool. It IS a good remake of the original song.

  • did the recorder died ?

  • In what you do this song and where i can get the sounds of windows ?

  • The program's called ModPlug Tracker.

The Windows sounds are in your windows\media directory, usually "c:\windows\media".

  • @SomethingUnreal

Cool! You Can Use Microsoft Sam As a Singer!

  • wft its SICK SICK SICK how dit you make it good job

  • yours is better than the original XP

  • mabe you can make your screencapture prog take a faster fps rate

  • I certainly could if I recorded it again now, but at the time I made this, I only had a fairly slow computer (not even hyperthreaded, let alone dual-core). =/

  • Ouch! Well, if I could time travel, I'd give you our old one. 3.0GHZ Hyperthreaded Pentium 4 (531), 1.5GB of RAM. just needs a hard drive.

I built my own to handle massive multitasking.

  • Pure Genius! 1000/5!

  • Can Modplug Tracker export to audio?

  • Yes, that's how I've been able to make an MP3 of this be available for download...

  • hey you should do "sandstorm" by darude

  • awsome stuff XD

it'd be interesting if you tried One Winged angel from FFVII

  • Sounds like something youd hear as background music in a map for a rpg/adventure ds/snes game xD

  • this is brilliant!

no wonder you won awards for your last master-piece!

although not your type of music,

would an attempt at a drum & bass master-piece be a challenge to you,

(i tried and failed, i did make a crap tune dubbed microsoft sam, inspired by kerncraft's origional zombie nation)

  • niccce!!!!! xDD and fantastic !

  • Error 404 - Not found

The document you requested is not found.

    -Please you can reup this?

  • Oh, sorry, I didn't realise I was still using out-of-date links here. I've re-uploaded the files and changed the links now.

  • Ok, tank you!

  • Make more of these things, they're awesome! If you made a channel where you did requests you'd be a hit... or at least I think you would be!

  • nice

  • Fuckin` genius! Nice one!

  • dude you are good but you are waisting you're time wideo is only long about 1:47 and with this program you used about 2 weaks... but nice

  • I'm glad you like it, but believe me, I didn't spend 2 weeks on it. I did this when I was bored one day and somebody suggested that I do it.

  • The Woosh sound, sounded like a Transformer transforming

  • must ov takn ags

  • this is amazing like the other one.

you are very talented at this kind of stuff! (:

  • how long did it take you?

  • this is soooooo coool

    :O

  • Amazing dude! I love this one more than the first one xD Hey, can you see mine ? also made with only windows XP sounds 5/5 btw

  • I'm glad you like it!

I've actually already seen yours - I saw it quite a while ago. It has over 300 comments on it now, but I made the 4th one. =P

  • How much time did you spend on it???

  • Amazing :D

    It's like, TOTALLY mindfields! :D

  • "Just for fun" <3

  • 2 times.... tip on why is it sloww?? i was making my own but its slow when i tried the startup sample when you replied thanks..

  • You need to either enter the correct note (in the Patterns view) to make it play at the correct speed, or you can adjust the "Freq. (Hz)" or "Transpose" for the sound sample (on the Samples tab) until it sounds right when you play the pattern.

  • what program is that?

  • ModPlug Tracker. It's freeware (and there's even an open-source version available). ;)

  • amazing work man! such creative mind. :)

  • So awesome!

  • great work

  • omg reminds me of runescape music :o.

but wow ur great amazing really ^^^:DD

  • Why didn't you decide to make a remake of a song you know and like, and not just a random song that somebody asked you to do it?

  • I did this _because_ somebody asked me to, and because I didn't know what else to do. When I am bored, I tend to want to try to do things which I haven't tried to do before, hence I wasn't doing this to relieve boredom (I was just trying to fulfill someone's request).

  • Hai, wakarimashita. Jya, bokunimo kyoku wo tsukutte kureru? Coburn - We interrupt this programme, boku kono kyoku daisuki desu! kono kyku wa windows no pin to pon de dekiruhasu desu (^.^) Hai, nihongo shaberemasu, nandaka dooyatte youtube ni nihongo de kakeba ii ka wakaranai desukedo.

  • Woah, wtf?

  • I Thought there was mooooore comments. Where are they ?

  • You're probably thinking about the video of my original music (i.e. not a remake of anything else) which has the title "Music using ONLY sounds from Windows XP and 98!". ;)

  • "This is dangerous."

  • hey Robbie, I was wondering, what is the name of the software program(s) you use to compilate the song?

  • The program's called "ModPlug Tracker". There is a link at the bottom of the video description to download the exact version which I used, because I know there are a lot of different versions floating about.

  • how do u do this can u make a vid on how to do this

  • Why'd you stop?

  • Subscribed!

    Awesome!!!

  • wow great work !!

  • It's too bad you didn't finish it. I like this version more than the original one. :D

  • woow... you are unbeliavable !!!!!!!!

  • Song is from donkey kong and dixi konf for Super Nintendo back in hte days 1990 =)

  • the DKC trilogy was 1994-1996. and are you sure this song was in one of the games? unlikely that the prodigy would be in a donkey kong game.

  • yes im absolutely sure

    it was the underwater level

    belive me mate!

  • Coral capers? the music bares a vague resemblance to Mindfields. I can see where you're coming from :)

  • oh sure^^

  • you should make "Trip Like I Do".

  • Badass man!!! Even though its just the intro...great job!

  • this is fookin excellent u need to try charley :P

  • Pretty good....ok not pretty good very good indeed

  • wow thats mother f@~:{@::in ace!!!!!

  • I like this one but your other one is better, I could never do anything this elaborate though.

  • the program doesnt work when i open it, it opens in notepad any tips?

  • how do you get to that on you computer?

  • go to this comp. go to music than to windows wav. sounds

  • wicked, shame u arent into stuff like this still really cool though

  • mod plug is great, I've been using it for the last 11 years, it was the first decent and simple tracker I managed to find since the Amiga days and a few simple revisions have made it even better.

Very clever using the windows samples on this one, well done.

  • cool, thanks for replying!

  • how did you get that program?????

  • It's a freeware program called "ModPlug Tracker". For a download link for the version which I use, please check the video description of my original video, "Music using ONLY sounds from Windows XP and 98!".

  • your other one is better

    =)

  • finish it

  • If you read the video description, you'd see why I didn't.

If you want it finished so much, no-one's stopping you from finishing it yourself.

  • cool!!! Thats so awsome! =)

  • dude you just blew my mi-- *KER PLANG!!*

  • I Give you a +1

Because he is very amazing and awesome...

  • *holds thumbs up* awesome!!i love it!!!

  • One of the Prodigy's best.. nice one (Y)

  • sexy :) but i never heard the origional song

  • haha sounds so asian ;D~

  • for a song made by pommies anyway

  • haha!!!

  • that's not stereo typing at all -.-

    /sarcasm

  • I think it sounds 'Asian' too, not because I'm stereotying, but because of the way it actually does sound musically. Alot of traditional Asian songs have a very similar sound to this, by way of melody and especially the timbre of the instruments :) Go listen to Sakura, and you will see what I mean. If you listen to tradtional songs of all different places in the world, you will notice a very distinct style to them all, plainly recognised by w3twiLLy :)

  • that was brilliant

no other word to describe it!!!

  • dude, you rock so hard, thank you so much, you are freaking awesome :D

  • damn i totally agreeee!!!!!

  • świetne połączenie rób takich przeróbek bo one są najlepsze

  • I love Prodigy. Nice job!

  • awesome. but the first video of this music was better

dude, you are a manga lover!!! you're great

  • I really liked it, slightly short though.. But it reminded me of the music style in the soundtracks of Sim City 2000, concentrating-music :P

  • Very well done

  • Very nice, but when I tried to download the song the link you labeled "MP3" file gave me and IT and the other way, you follow?

  • Oh yes, I did! Sorry about that, I'll switch them round now. ><

    I'm glad you like it.

  • thanks for the new vid

  • Something unreal! Thanks for vid :)

  • That's incredibly awesome.

  • dude. i dont know which one i like better. really really really really awesome!

  • i will look at your tutorial on this :)

  • niiiice... :o but not as good as the one with xp and 98 sounds... :P still very amazing...

  • Awesome, although voodoo people would've been better

  • Have you ever considered using samples from Purple Motion and Necros songs? Those guys use some great samples in their music.

  • No, since I hadn't even heard of those guys until you just mentioned them. ;)

Where can I find some of their works?

Also, do you reckon they'd mind if I did that?

  • I'd stick with PurpleMotion personally. Necros is a thief (as is evidenced by the existence of Mechanism Eight in the original Unreal Tournament for the PC (its in the game, and he's the only one credited for it in the sound file, and that was a collaborative work).

  • WoW how much time did you put into this?

  • About 1.5 to 2 hours more than my original one. (So about 4-5 hours). It's harder when you can't make your own stuff up. ><

  • This is not so good like the previous one, but I guess you'll be asked about your boredom as well. Great job, anyway. Thanks for sharing.

  • No problem. It was actually a lot more work than the previous one (it's much easier to make up random tunes than to go along with an existing one). Also, it doesn't help that I don't really like and didn't know the song. ;P

    But thanks.
