  • I hate people like that old woman. It obviously didn't stink, she just felt too threatened by something that may taste nice that was cooked by someone else.

  • ITALY ALL THE WAY

  • oh jeesh, it is like living with my grandparents again. it is sad...you know the goats know that they are gonna get killed. they go nuts the moment you turn them so their belly is facing the sky.

  • Well in Italy they say vegetarians are mentally sick! If you don't like meat eaters, stay away!

  • @oldfurniture were you drunk when you wrote this comment or what? italy is famous specially for its vegetable dishes, from north to south....i bet you've not nearly watched the border reading the sign "ITALY"

  • @esorciccio lol what was that guy thinking? im sure breads, pizzas, pastas, soups and risottos...not to mention the garden fresh salads and herbs are great if not the best without any meat lol

  • It's a way of life really. If you eat meat in any sort of way at all, the animal was killed for your benefit. The best thing to do really is treat the meat with respect, since the animal gave its life for it.

Kudos to Mr. Oliver for showing it like it is.

  • I love lamb, I've killed hundreds over the years, when I was first taught it was a little tough, but there's nothing to it. Course I also kill deer, rabbit, quail, dove, duck, geese, gator, it's way better and healthier for you than processed canned crap from stores.

  • Yeah, it has a great life then it still gets slaughtered. Jamie, you're great most of the time, but fuck you.

  • @Bionic3333 fuck you thank you very much. be a vegetarian then.

  • @Aranadhel Alright.

  • @Bionic3333 At the end of the day it's just like an animal eating another animal. And that's just how it is in nature. As jamie said, we're at the top of the food chain. The thing thats not ok is, that we take advantage of our position and treat the animals like shit just to make the biggest profit.

  • @godfornothing We're not at the top of the food chain by nature by far. And it's just unnecessary pain for the individual, the animals and the environment. Not to start an argument or anything, these are sheer facts. I really wouldn't bother pointing this out at all, and I scarcely do, I'm not one of those annoying activistlike veggies, but one thing I can't take is being mocked for having more sense than most ppl. Eat meat, whatever you like, just admit you're doing harm by it, no use denying.

  • @Bionic3333 I'm not denying that you have to kill an animal to eat meat. You know that the early humans began to become stronger and taller as they were able to eat meat. And would you say that that was ok? These early humans killing animals?

And another thing: what do you mean we're not at the top of the food chain. we most certainly are. Of course thats not because we are the strongest animals but because we have the largest brain.

  • @godfornothing We don't have the largest brain - not even in proportion to our bodies, that's the ant, btw- , but the highest IQ, or the best skill to make tools.. to murder with. We've actually become so good at it that we're actively killing our own species which is weird in most other animals' eyes, I presume. If we have the largest knowledge and understanding of the world and empathy to others pain, we could for once use our ever so brilliant brain to stop unnecessary suffering.

  • @godfornothing I'm not saying those who eat meat are evil or anything, it's just that we should just eat less at least, or just to respect it. It's not the animal who "gave" its life to us, we took it by force. I really couldn't care less about what others eat and don't eat, all in all, I just hate it when I'm being put down for trying to think more wisely. I really hope you don't think I'm sparking up an argument here or anything! :)

  • @Bionic3333 I understand what you're saying. And I think that its great that there are people like you who think about where their food comes from. In fact there are sadly just a few who do what you and I do. think about what we eat. You said that we should use our brains to stop unnecessary suffering. i agree with you on that one. But if the animals have a good life and are treated and killed with respect, I see no harm in eating them. There would be no suffering.

  • @Bionic3333 But i really think the most important question is: do the animals know that are going to be killed. If so, it would in fact be cruel.

  • @godfornothing Yes, that's it, I think. If we're going to eat animal corpse flesh, then why not do it in the least possible harmful way. I wish I knew a solution for this, though, but, I guess all we can do for the moment is to act the way we think is right in our own lives. :)

  • @Bionic3333 i'de use a gun no pain whats so ever just Boom in the head Gone

rather than cutting with a knife

  • thanks a bunch for these!
