  • Awesome!! Im dancing to this song in my dance class its very fun to dance to!!!

  • This is amazing! It's almost broadway standard!

  • if its "modern millie" why is it so old sounding?

  • @Irisflower42 cuz its set in to 1920's

  • we're going this play its wicked fun cause i love the old 20's swing :D

  • Jeez my school's performance could do better than this right now and we have only been working on the musical for a few weeks. Vocals are great. Choreography sucks... but i know thats not your fault :)

  • I've been in this show a few times and I was NEVER dressed like Maria vonTrapp....confunsion???

  • maria never wears a shirt waist dress wrong era pple....

  • Someone loses their hat at 4:13.

  • @swimmr1112 lul

  • horrible

  • the singer she playe Millie is very good !!

  • The dancing seems too slow for the music.

    Still this is pretty cute

I like how the girls come thru the revolving door :]

  • That was just horrible. The choreographer really needs work, and Millie has too much of an accent. The band needs work too.

  • i agree with CalibratedPh33r. That was very sloppy

  • I'm sorry but even my tech crew could do a better job acting out this musical. We only work the shows and were still better than this.......that was just......just no........i'm sorry, no.......Whoever directed this needs to be beaten with a board with a nail in it.......and the guy on spot should hang themselves, and the crew should be lined up and shot........in short, you failed.....no one more so than the lead who played mille.....you fail.........I'm so sorry for the audience.

  • Millie's accent sticks out to much the men sound like they're talking not singing. orchestra can't play jazz at all and the trumpet sounds like it's their first time playing you should consider highering musicians to play in our pit every year

  • Pretty good with the singing, and (considering the limited space) the choreography isn't too bad. But the lead actress (while she has talent) drowned out the ensamble and half of the orchestra.

  • Comment removed

  • millie would make a good glinda, or a member of the lolllipop guild... or a chipmunk

  • Damn thats a good set. but sometimes the chorus sounds like really bored... I don't know if thats just the auditorium.

  • THE CHOREOGRAPHER NEEDS SHOT!

  • cool!!! my school r duin dis musical! :)

i went 2 see it last night! its amazing!!!!

  • I really like this. There are little things here and there, but over all very good for most any high school. Love your set. I think it looks like you guys should put on Grand Hotel at your school. Hehe!!! Everyonekeep up the good work.

  • Yuck. She's so flat at times.

  • Yeah.

  • She's actually right on. That's how the music is supposed to sound.

  • there's something about this girl's voice that bothers be but i don't know what it is......i'm not sure if i like her or not

  • I think is the theater r she swallows it but still very good :)

  • Maybe because she says "uh" at the end of every phrase

  • She totally does. Weird.

  • Love your voice!

  • VERY GOOD

  • This is the exact arrangement we're doing! NOW I CAN PRACTICE THE ROUTINE WITH PROPER MUSIC! YAYZ!

  • Wow this is really good!!!

  • this millie seems awfully old

  • I was 17!

  • oh-well you look older-its ok-i'm 23 and people think i'm 11

  • Sutton Foster was pushing 30 she played the role.

  • yea but she didnt look like it

  • and when Susan Egan took over, she was 34. Normally, it's woman in their late 20's/early to mid 30's that play these roles. They want someone with depth and experience.

I mean, in Wicked... they were BOTH in their 30's.

  • yes but they also didnt look like it(kristin and idina i mean) and they also want someone who looks the age of the character and i dont know...mahybe millie is in her 30's or whatever-i dont know a lot about this show but all the other millies i have seen on youtube have looked a lot younger than this one-even ones that were millie in community theatre not just in high school or whatever but i'm not going to argue about it

  • :-)

No problem sweetie, I don't want to argue myself.

I've played Millie, so I know the show backwards and forwards. LOL!

(You're right, most of the YouTube clips are different that professional versions.)

    Take care.

  • i thought Millie was about 25.

  • his millie is aweful and flat.... i dont meen to be negative but im being honest!

  • weak sauce.

  • my school's been working on this and will be performing soon, and being the sound guy, i say that the extra's can and should project their voices, if i didn't know this song so well i wouldn't know what they were saying, especially the girls. good thing i wasn't there, i'd have been biting heads off.

  • Good God tune that snare drum!

  • Ummmmm.... A snare drum is pitchless, therefore you can not tune a snare drum.

  • Are you kidding me? You obviously haven't been exposed to drums very much. Of course you can tune a snare drum. You can tune ALL drums..... and they DO have a pitch..... and that one is WAY too low

  • There is a reason why the snare drum is in the "Pitchless Percussion" category. They may have a timbre, but that has nothing to do with the pitch. Its like saying that a triangle has a pitch. If a triangle sounds different, it has a different timbre not pitch. Some drums, on the other hand, do have pitch. For example, timpani have pitch, and that you can tune.

  • All drums have a pitch!! If you need more proof, buy a high-end DW drumset. If you look on the inside of the shells (including the snare), you will see a letter (note). That is the PITCH the drum is designed to be tuned to. And also, when referring to drums, tuning does not necessarily refer to pitch. It simply refers to the adjusting of the heads to create the desired sound. The snare in the video is extremely low and doesn't fit in with the orchestra.

  • I think you are wonderful. A lot of people have been giving you a hard time because of your accent, but I don't have a problem with it. Judy Garland, who played Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, and was probably the best entertainer of the 21st century, had a southern accent too and a lot of vibrato, which you also have. I thought this was very impressive.

  • The Choreography needs to be more upbeat its the roaring twenties.

  • hehe, i just finished this play yesterday..thank god..i played as jimmie!! :D

  • This is pretty good:) But the only thing is millie needs to learn to control her vibrato a bit.But either than that it was pretty good, also you couldn't really hear the ensemble. But still, great job:)

  • I like it.

  • her costume is not the right time style and niether is her hat. how old is that girl? she looks to old

  • eeesh. okay my school is doing this and not only are our costumes better and our singing and dancing but we have stage presence. We all learned how to do the charleston and kicks and I am not a dancer only like 10 of us are and we can do it. They need better choreogrophy.

  • I am trying out for that play, how should i behave at the audtion to get the main role? I really want it!!!!!

  • i hate high school shows! not to be a grouch! but yeesh!

  • I think they are fun. But when the directors play favorites and senority it sucks!

  • OMG!! Who ever is singing this.....has an AMAZING voice!!!!

  • yes she does! but she has an annoying lisp!

  • the outfit makes her look like mary poppins and the sound of music =/

  • thats funny that you say that cuz both those are both julie andrews and she starred in the movie that the show is based on! lol

  • I was thinking the same exact thing!!!

  • she has a really strong voice! but why is she dressed like maria in the sound of music? lol

  • Wow! Is this a High School Production? Amazing:)

  • really good! But why is she dressed like Maria VOntrapp form The SOund Of Music????

  • haha i thought the same thing haha

  • i thought that too

  • Haha, I thought the same thing...she should be singing "I Have Confidence" haha

  • the character is supposed to changed from an older style to the modern of the given time setting, that's why she dressed like that. look up the original video of julie andrews doing this musical

  • @mickeycat9923 Because she came from the south to New York.

  • great!

  • The girl who portrays Millie is good singer! WHen I first saw this I thought she kinda was dressed like Maria Vontrapp! :D

  • :) Me too!! She's fantastic tho!

  • omg yea lol thats great and bad

  • Yeah so did I ;D

    weird costume choice?

  • love the door

  • That was so good!!

  • cute choreography.

the people in the chorus sound good as a group.

  • This is pretty good but I think the choreography could be better. The singing is done realy well though.

  • my school is doing this in drama in sounds really close to this, it sounds really good

  • gimme, gimme is a great number from this show. seriously it's great. so are all of muzzy's number

  • agreed

  • She looks like she is in the rong set...like...she should be on the set for a production for the sound of music...

  • "What we think is Chic, unique and quite adorable" Cute!! haha

  • My school is also doing this play. ECHS(go indians). But anyways, the biginning of this looks really really sloppy, there are people going opposite of other people it looks like the dancers learned it all in a matter of a week or two.

  • I saw this at my friends school. I liked it..I wish I would have done a musical in my four years of high school...

  • My high school just did this musical it's awesome. I was playing the Cello in the pit!

  • I'm playing the cello for our Millie production. What a coincidence!

  • Haha-what's ur favorite song? Mine was the Overture! I don't know why!

  • Gotta love Ah,Sweet Mystery of Life! It's so funny!

  • i'm in this play at my school and its in 3 days!!!! i'm not millie or anyone important i'm just a dancer and singer but it's still cool!

  • Someone said Ado Annie, I was thinking more like Maria's outfit during the song "I Have Confidence" in the movie version of The Sound of Music

  • haha i totally agree

  • I am working backstage on a production of this in Ireland

  • MY school is doing this play! I think the Millie on NY brodway graduated from my high school.

  • "Ado Annie Goes to New York" lol..bad costume and wig choice in the beginning of the number

  • Millie never lived in the South. She came from Salina, Kansas.

  • hmm

  • hee hee

    wow

umm interesting, but when we did it on the night before the play its traditon to scwe up and mess around, so evreyone did evrerything in a southren acent( a bad one) and millie had the wrost it was so much fun, can u imagin Mrs. Meers having a southren and chinies accent...

  • You meen for a dress rehearsal?

  • ok first off, if ur doing the musical go with the musical not the movie. southern accent... wayyyy out of characeterrrrr! chorus dance was poorly coreographed at begining and looked like they were just walking around.

  • I wasn't doing a Southern accent and she's from Kansas so wouldn't she originally have a Southern accent anyway.

  • Ummm...

    Kansas isn't in the South.

  • she has a great voice!

but her southern accent is really sticking out and that automatically breaks character

  • no it doesnt Millie is from the south in this show the southern accent does not break the character if the Character is from the south

  • Anyone else hear that trumpet clam at about 4:34?

  • lol heard it.

  • ROFL I heard that!

  • Hey guys, they're trying to copy the movie. cuz if remember correctly, Julie Andrews wore something like this.

And, it's not hard finding high school students who can Sing AND dance.

Plus, i do agree that it is a tad bit lame that they stole choreography(sp?), but you have to remember that some schools don't have the advantage of having a person to come with dance moves.

  • what the hell is she wearing...this isnt sound of music...

    cute set.

  • Millie had just come out of prison, she wouldn't look like that at all!! Thats more Maria from the sound of music... Singing (solo) is good though cos thats a hard song to sing.... Dancing needs work & look at the score & script properly as well cos some lines were missed by millie when just the chorus sung it and teh direction was wrong @ 3.30 - why go off stage but come on through the door later?!?! Costume malfunctions?! Ending chorus singing was good though...

  • To suggest answer your question thingy, i believe she couldn't go through doors cuz of her luggage. and then i guess she comes on to make it seem like she just came out of a store(?)

  • she isnt comming out of prison she is comming from the south to new york when she says she has done her time shes out of jail it is just saying that she has live in the south as long as she could and now she is where she really belongs

  • hey ..i don't even go here so its not like i should care but why dont you guys go ahead and pull the stick out of your ass..because some high schools have limited performance abilities..and sometimes its the directors fault..but iu guess what im trying to say is that everyone isn't broadway material...so shut the fuck up...because they're in high school!

  • first of all you STOLE most of the choreo

I mean it's ok to take some things, but the whole damn number??? that's sad

second no one in the cast can dance

don't try to do musicals anymore

  • i hate when high schools steal choreography... lame!

  • this, my friends, is what we call a HOT MESS.

  • yeah, that was relly bad. ha sorry

  • I'ts horribal the singing and dancing, Millie is horribal sorry but the choreo was horribal to

and the ochestra need work on swing notes -

we just diid this play and are dancing was very complicated and all of the people in it hav been dancing for years

  • Good show!

Sorry, don't take this personally, but -

I think she hit a few sharp notes at the start

And I don't particularly like her singing.

Once you've heard Broadway, it's hard to take

    anything else, right lol?

  • The chorous is WAY quieter that millie, But overall it was great

  • but...on the commment about the choreo..this looks like it was cut from the broadway choreo. So if ur dissing this choreo your dissing broadyway.

  • I think its good. Millie is ok, but she looks like Maria VonTrapp VIA Julie Andrews. Everything...is....okay...

  • what LHS are we talking about?

  • I'ts horribal the singing and dancing, Millie is horribal sorry but the choreo was horribal to

  • Oooh, that wasn't nice. Not on the ears or the eyes.

  • it's okay

  • i love this song

  • good job :)

the 1st millie outfit is very julia andrews (sound of music-esque)

  • its julie not julia
