It's kind of like "rock-paper-scissors". You have to try to get the right slash to beat whatever slash the other person is using. Unless it's too close (and a tie) after the sequence the person who wins gets in a good strong extra hit.

Orihime's attack capability is by far the most powerful attack, the reason it seems weak is because the power of the attack is driven by the amount of rage she has and how much she is willing to kill her enemy. Knowing her she cannot hurt a fly that is why she is pretty useless.

Well, Orihime has her Shun-Shun Rikka (with which she can make that shield, use Tsubaki as a projectile weapon, and "heal" people with). Aizen has his zanpakuto, which seems to be able to make anyone who sees it experience a near perfect illusion (at least that is how the show makes it look), and he seems to be a master at Kido (the shinigami version of magic). You can see some of that in the video actually. LIke a lot of shinigami, Flash Step is something he can do too (when he moves fast).
