my brother and I went on a binge of trying many different commercial pancake mixes. We tried all the expensive gourmet ones as well as others. Aunt jemima is as good or better than all the others and all you have to do is "add water"....nothing else (except syrup & butter). We had a hurricane here, lost our electricity.....I got out my portable gas camping stove and made Aunt Jemima pancakes. They are a great survival food because like I said all you need is water.

How commericals poured the syrup over the pancakes. It was all poured the same...in a star pattern with a pat of butter in the middle. I wonder how many people pour syrup (I prefer honey) over their pancakes like that? All about appearence ! (lol).
