we know nothing....most of our ancestors never made it..the most of the rest disapeared in squallor...the rest are of who helped shape america....but i hope they remember where they came from and who didnt make it...and there was a alot....the majority by fact...god bless them all....
In the past 5 months while listening to music by the Clancys and Makem, I've discovered The High Kings, Josh Groban, and now Tommy Fleming. I'm a Yank, but I love Irish music.
im a big musik fan,, i dont have a tv in my house.. my chill out time is listening to music. ive seen this man live.. ive gotta say he,s breathtaking. i cant wait to see you again tommy flemming.
it is a great song im only 28 years old and spent a few years in london and got let go,its 2010 for fck sake ,you wouldnt believe the amount of homeless irish i saw on the streets of london its sad and nothing i can do, but this government better wake up fast
i really now only appreciate what our ancestors went through. no education can instill the emotion of knowning what they went through, but music and song bring that alive. Now i see what the Irish abroad see. We living in Ireland need to get more in touch with our ancestory.what a beautiful song
i know i saw their "isle of hope" tour in seattle and we were in the front row....it was so beautiful....never have i been so proud of my irish ancestry.
plus...i have great-grandparents that came through ellis island.....
my uncle has been shouting about tommy flemming 4 the last year. i thought old timers music the kind u hear on radio kerry, but i am the first 2 admit i was very wrong!Beautiful song and your pictures r precious.thanks 4 posting this Luathbreacadh!
i just saw Ronan Tynan perform this at my university a couple days ago, it brought tears to my eyes so i had to look it up. i LOVE this song and i LOVE AMERICA.
Beautiful; just beautiful. Very sensitively put together. I only discovered Tommy Fleming two days ago - by accident! He's brought new joy to my 63 years.....
this is what its all about , jesus Ireland must have been so hard then. just came back from NY went to the island , still have a tear when i hear this .GOD BLESS THE WORLD ,BUT KEEP YOUR GOOD EYE ON IRELAND.THANKS DUDE.
I know of many people who had to leave this beautiful country in search of a life ,

I think I am only like a sixteenth Irish but I'm going to embrace it, and be proud of it. And it's all because I have heard Celtic Woman.

how did you manage to learn gaeilge in america? fair play to ye for keepin it going
jackmcc91 2 years ago
It's not that hard to get access to the materials to learn Gaelic in America...
Sadly though, teacher and pronounciation guides are sorely lacking.
