  • we know nothing....most of our ancestors never made it..the most of the rest disapeared in squallor...the rest are of who helped shape america....but i hope they remember where they came from and who didnt make it...and there was a alot....the majority by fact...god bless them all....

  • In the past 5 months while listening to music by the Clancys and Makem, I've discovered The High Kings, Josh Groban, and now Tommy Fleming. I'm a Yank, but I love Irish music.

  • i really now only appreciate what our ancestors went through. no education can instill the emotion of knowning what they went through, but music and song bring that alive. Now i see what the Irish abroad see. We living in Ireland need to get more in touch with our ancestory.what a beautiful song

  • i know i saw their "isle of hope" tour in seattle and we were in the front row....it was so beautiful....never have i been so proud of my irish ancestry.

    plus...i have great-grandparents that came through ellis island.....

  • It's not that hard to get access to the materials to learn Gaelic in America...

    Sadly though, teacher and pronounciation guides are sorely lacking.
