Check out live in Den Bosch, live in Seattle, Live in San Diego, Live in Mexico City or if you want more proof buy tickets to a fucking Metallica concert, Lars is a beast, James is a talented musician, but Lars is King Drummer. Everyone puts out crazy shit playing at 5000 bpm, but Lars compliments songs with his drumming. All 9 albums, through the epicness of MOP to the bullshit of Load, Lars's drums kept me a Metallica fan.

I have been drumming for many, many years and I still admire how he approaches each and every song. He is a unique talent that doesn't get the credit he deserves nowadays! Sure, some drummers can do things that would make Lars laugh like Thomas Lang (check him out everybody!) but people like that simply arent as recognisable as Lars.
