They don't even have to bend the bars, they can just squeeze through the bars on most cages. If they can get their little head out, the rest of the body will follow.

I think what you have there is an Agouti version of the Roborovski right? I prefer the original one. Nonetheless, so long as they are robos, they are forever cute.. I think younger hamsters prefer softer food as perhaps their teeth are not that developed yet.
