@orbitstrid3r ...Yeah, me too...if I bought a $2 million machine...I'd just rent a bigger forklift...and, if that cable/chain snapped..the driver might be upset...
nice safety violations!!!! in the us that would have OSHA all over them...their bringing in the paint machine that applies the lead to all the toys that U.S. kids get
Sheesh, go pick up something to put actual weight on the forks so you will have traction to drag it. Or, better yet, put the forks under the machine you're moving and put some lift, not enough to raise steering wheels off the ground. Just enough to reduce drag friction, then tie it to forklift and drag it smoothly. That yanking can't be good for it...
I don't know what you guys are talking about, but they did it absolutely perfectly proper. Whoever say that they don't care about safety is an idiot. I've never seen that many people here in US of A wearing bright clothing and hard-hats while hanging off the fork-lift. As a matter of fact, I work in industrial environment, and we don't wear hard-hats. And there they are, hanging off the fork-lift, while wearing bright, high visibility, clothing with hard-hats. Now THAT's taking safety seriously
@TacticalTerrorizer just because your dressed in bright colors doesnt mean your working safely. does that mean if im drunk driving in a bright yellow car that means im safe? and about the doing it proper, ive done some machine rigging in the past and thats certainly not how you do it
I think if western companies are going to use cheap Chinese labour, they should at least employ some western foremen to give them a massive bollocking when they do stupid shit like this.
Profits take priority over safety in China. That's why US companies are leaving, moving our work to China. You wouldn't see US workers allowed to stand on the forks of a forklift, acting as ballast so the undersize forklift can tug a little harder. In China, if one of those workers slipped off the forks and broke an ankle, they'd just fire him... Much cheaper.
