  • I have always liked the look of the original bulb version because of the smoothness of the flow and the [look] as well. LED versions can be made to flow nicely as well and draw less current and produce no heat .

  • Bulb's better. More gradation in the light trails compared to the LED and therefore gives the better impression of an electronic eye, whereas LED just looks like... LEDs.

  • I'm currently building a life size new (modern) Cylon for a convention in April and this would finish it off perfectly.

Where can you buy this bulb scanner and how much does it cost?

  • LED doesnt even come close to the beauty of the buld scanner

  • I think the bulb based one is more menacing looking. I'm all for LED's where appropriate, but I'd have to go with the filiment version on this one.

  • i love the bulb i want to get it

  • It's cool but the led version you can make out each individual led as it goes.

Plus the bulb version has that cool fade out effect along the scan :)

  • The Bulb is still the best as you can see each LED from the one in the helmit.

  • The LED you can get from Hyperdyne Labs for 200.00-300.00 US Dollars, the BULB scanner is next to impossible unless someone sells one from an original Cylon which is highly unlikely. I bought the very last Pappas scanner

  • where can you get one from???
