Please help me find some bands that are similar to Wardruna. I can't seem to find a single song similar to their style. There are a lot of Neo Folk and Folk bands and all of the one's i heard have very little in similarity to Wardruna. I hate Viking Metal and stuff like that, so forget about it, all i want is pure acoustic songs with a dark and deep feel that Wardruna creates. I would be much greateful.

this is great, I don't get why people are so amazed that Gaahl could do something so different to Gorgoroth. There still are BM bands out there, like Moonsorrow, Enslaved, Negura Bunget, Kroda etc that play BM in their own way without making it sound stale.

this is great, I don't get why people are so amazed that Gaahl could do something so different to Gorgoroth. It's like food, you wouldn't want to eat fried chicken all the time, why would you just want to play the same kind of music all the time? Anyway Black Metal has nowhere to go, it's a musical dead end, many adherents are religious about it, all these "rules" about what IS Black Metal, a bit boring after a while.

@skwijeebob1 Hmm I see what you mean but I have to disagree with you on this one. IMO black metal is a living and evolving genre. (I know, BM extremists will say that it's not a genre, it's a way of living and all that crap) But from an objective point of view, I think BM bands have dead ends, not BM itself. There still are BM bands out there, like Moonsorrow, Enslaved, Negura Bunget, Kroda etc that play BM in their own way without making it sound stale.
