Instead of using an emulator, try patching steam w/ something like dyn steam patcher, then run it with steam; I've done this with L4D and L4D2 and it works fine.

Download UCL(Universal Content Launcher) and follow this instructions, works for my 3rd party games, i have tested, DoW2,MW2,Borderlands,Audio Surf, and OF:DR.

Just make sure u do this to make it work

well i did all that in this video, and when i double clicked on source sdk on tools it didnt install it, but it worked on source sdk base, which didnt appear after i oepened steam, i tryed restarting everything and i dont have all steam games, only Empire : Total War with many versions of that, and some osmos, operation flashpoint 2 dragon rising, etc. etc.

For anyone who has issues with .dll launcher, go to your REAL steam/crack steam or wherever you originally got the game you sent to. Find the files and extract them to the SBReV game folder. When done, try launching it again, cause it worked for me! =D

if you are looged in to a steam account whitout lets say css and you start steambuster and then start css from steambuster even you do not own the game in your real steam account, you are able to play on cracked (non authentication server) servers... sometimes the aut server of steam is down, which allows you to join every server you want. But that only happens once a month and theres no way to find out... you have to try, it worked once for me... only once :D

I think your problem is that you didn't get all of the gcfs. I came across this when trying to play all of the HL1 games (inlc. counter-strike). To play all HL1 games, you need:

platform.gcf

halflife.gcf

halflifeengine.gcf

Ok, first of all, Steam buster is only for playing games, not downloading from steam.

Second of all, that error you see there is the steam client telling you that it knows you don't own the game, and it's not letting a cracked client downloading it. There are some games you can download with things like the undeath patch, such as audiosurf and HL2, but once you get the files, that's what steam buster does. It only plays the game.
