  • What happened to the legs on the male?

  • He's about 20 years old (maybe more depending on how old he was when I bought him). He's just old and may have arthritis or something. He doesn't swim like he used to. Been like that the last 5 years or so---got that way gradually.

  • It's not sad at all---she's the happiest frog I've ever seen! She can swim all over the place like the other frogs could never do. She loops circles over them. She's graceful like a ballerina---an underwater dancer! She's also very docile and friendly and lets me pick her up more readily than the others.

I have always thought that there is something special about the creatures that are different from the norm (afterall, I'm one of them!).

  • hah, well that's pretty cool. i have a couple of dwarfs but they don't do anything cool. except lay on their backs a lot

  • lolll,

    why is it doing that?

  • She is deformed in some way (since birth). Since a tadpole, she has always turned in all kinds of crazy directions---she doesn't stay flat like the other frogs. She things "flat" is sideways with her left side down, usually being supported by with her left foot. It was originally a brain issue, but now it seems that her body is actually growing in a rather warped manner because of the way she uses it. Although I guess that too could be genetic. All I know is she's the coolest frog ever!

  • haha. that's kinda sad but still pretty cool
