  • Hi. i bought one aswell but now i would like to make it rc. Do you have some pics from yours to help me?

    You did a great job.

  • i have one of those but its real

  • Beautiful job mate ! Thanks !!

  • здорово! )) я тоже увлекаюсь моделями, можно узнать какое название у этой модели?

  • all right man! this is cool.

  • mmm, they used to be but they are insanely cheap now, you could get a lipo. esc and a brushless for less the 30 dollars now.

  • where did u get get that awesome boat nice video.

  • I built it and taped it myself.

  • are you using NI/MH cells if so why not lipo batts?? a lipo is a lot lot lighter than the 20cell NI/MH pack my 8.4 v 8cell 800mah MH pack is a lot more weight than a 1300 3s 12v pack and last 3x as long and is a lot faster. i love how these look and the way they are made is top quality so its like getting a Ferrari and putting a diesel engine in, well sort off

  • ESC that uses Lipo is expensive... so it the battery. I don't have the money.

  • that thing just cruises. nice!

  • That boat is awesome and it got up on plane right away

  • i want to see rc boat with a bomb set to explode, like in the movie dude, plzzz!

  • this boat is not even close to fast

  • that is fast but my blast would beet it

  • hey its a no wake zone haha awsome!!!

  • BIG WAVES

  • Alright man dis is cool.

  • This boat are not realy the fastest electric xd

  • i build a boat from wood and it weigts 2kg, im putting a speed 700 with a 8.4v baterry pack, what would be the top speed?

  • This depends on which 700 motor you got. If it is the Graupner 700BB turbo, a 8.4v battery pack should propel a 2kg boat (assumming 2kg=esc, batteries, motors + boat), going beyond 15mph is a piece of cake. Prop size selection and balancing should give your another 5mph.

  • Hey, I'm building one of my own right now too. it's from scrap tho, but I'm building it from photo's and photo's from framework and all... but I'm just not sure about the motor I need to put in... maybe you know what I could use for the best and what not...

    Thanks in advance.

  • For the motor choice, it really depends on the performance desired. DO you know what's the weight of your boat? Balsa, mahogany wood or fiberglass? I could help more if have these infos.

  • Well, it's made out of a few sorts of wood, and it's still under construction,

    Wood I use:

    Flexiwood framework.

    Mahogany plints for bodywork.

Boat is approx 45/50 cm long, and 11/12 cm weidth.

  • Looks like your boat might be in the 7-13 lbs range depending on type of fiberglass/resin combo if any. I would suggest a 700BB turbo 8.4v Graupner motor or a respectable brushless DC motor. The brushless will be a more expensive option.

  • Yeah, I'm gonna buy the 700 BB Turbo.. been thinking about it as well... I just bought some other wood for the planking the sides and bottom...don't know how to translate it, but we call it Balsa wood.. super light, also used for airplane models.

Maybe we can share some photo's or something... would like to see how you made yours:D

    Regards

  • how much volts? 12 did u say?

  • Yes. 12v. Two 6v battery connected in series.

  • hope you didnt get a speeding ticket

  • the boat it's self is so good looking having useable power is just a plus

  • what battery and motor does it hold?

  • For this video, 2 x 6v series with 600 series motor.

  • Cool

  • Thanks!
