  • @Scooterskiff hi, do you think you could send me the music as well, please?

  • This is fucking amazing.

  • Sencillamente bello!

  • Amazing!!!!:) Beautiful!!!! Fantastic!!! Supeeerb!!!

    Emotionant!

    Thank you! God Bless You!

  • Well done !! I've hurd this played fast, quite brashly and perhaps even a bit aggressively yoo but this, IMO, is at the right speed and each key is struck with the right weight & delicacy (leggato?)

    Consider it favourited!

  • Perfect!

  • great playing and great sound thanks!

  • This rendition is too slow for my liking.

  • many people play this dirge fashion, you express it as the beautiful dance that it is.......excellent.

  • perfect playing. can you play also gnossienne 3?

  • Sounds like Hakon Austbo's version... much slower and emotional reading, excellent work.

  • such a sad song..

  • So beautiful.

  • Hey Dude, i've used your video to make my own video where i play with you, Thanks!

  • I think the grace notes sound far better on the beat.....you play them on the upbeat, but then again it's your interpretation so I understand

  • Very nice indeed, could you do the other Gnossienne pieces ?

  • I responded to this vid 7months ago, twice in a minute, same text, sorry, The skills I lack at the Samick are similiar to those I lack at the computer. HOWEVER, after viewing a zillion readings of various performers,of works by variuos composers, the comments by listeners, I see that this piece seems to be universaly met with good replies, and in my humble opinion, this is PROPER! Thanx for the chances to have my say. William

  • ♬. .. dancing on air ... ✩✫✬✭✮

  • lindo! :')

  • wow wow! you played that beautifully. I can see what you mean about the subtlety, but you'll get it! I don't have the sheet music, but are the quick notes to be played with appoggiaturas or acciaccaturas?

  • muuito bom!! very good! congratulations! parabens! você conseguiu interpretar muito bem!!!

  • i envy your talent.....

  • I haven't seen the Painted Veil but this piece is featured prominently in the film Chocolat. Great performance btw, going through the computer with the midi file of the grand piano is very cool, just recently found out about it. Maybe there will be fewer terrible sounding microphone recordings!

  • Beautiful! Bravo!

  • I can feel it. Yes.

  • wauw, very good interpretation! Eric Satie was just so awesome... he did drugs and wrote music... like the hipster of the fin du siècle , hehe :)

  • This is better than most recordings you can buy on CD!!

Perfect interpretation, smooth dynamic transitions, and so much emotion - beautiful!! Well done, keep it up!

  • just perfect!

  • thought this would be an hard song to play for me but i see that you use for almost the whole song the same notes in the left hand, so im going to try this to

  • beautiful interpretation! I would be careful not to make it too triplet-y, but otherwise, bravo! very enjoyable

  • It´s not such a hard song. I have already gotten it complete by ear (would have the entire song but my keyboard has too few keys) in about 2 or 3 days, and it´s the only song with two hands needed I can play apart from For Elise.

What is HARD is to put it out right... like this gentleman did. Very nice sound, hopefully soon when I get my digital piano I´ll be able to put it out with such beauty.

  • trop beau !! vraiment joué dans l'esprit !...Enfin une belle interpretation placee dans mes favoris !MERCI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • After downloadig the score to this piece I just had the Samick tuned to hear my niece 12 years old, play , after one year , pieces I struggled with for years! She can't read a note, Has one of those electrononic things, Debussy, Mozart, Beethoven etc. I grappled with "THE BIG RED BEAST" for 15 years and she brings me to my knees!!!!! playing these works. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!!!! Willy

  • Excellent. I will attempt to learn this, I was really glad to see an example of someone playing it well. Thx.

  • Very well played- very flowing and peaceful

  • What does this piece make you think of? What story does the music tell? I'm really confused any ideas?

  • Fantastic. I can't stop listening. Played with care...

    Thank You.

    S.

  • I love this version. It is the only one that I think is right and I use this tempo when I play it as well. So beautiful

  • I even like it more then original. Perfect!

  • Sort of haunting isn't? When are you going to post more?

You really have the knack for the tempo to fit what I'm sure the composer intended.,

  • Excellent job. I admire your artistry and ability to translate feeling. Best version I've seen yet on YouTube. You should be proud.

  • its a piece of art very beautifull and peacefull thanks for add it

  • Wow, incredible interpretation. Your performance will be saved on my hard drive and viewed time and time again as I learn to play this. Thank you.

  • I'm 15 and I can enjoy this. Beautiful!

  • franchemen!! c'est bien jouer !!

  • VERY BEAUTIFUL MUSIC

  • Une pure merveille, MERCI

  • Beautiful,many thanks.

  • Bravo. Better than the recording you can purchase on Amazon.

  • You have the best tempo I've ever seen. Unfortunately people like to speed it up.

This is how it should be. Perfect. Absolutely perfect. In fact, I don't thank that word does this any justice. None the less. Thank you!

  • I like your sensitive touch a lot, so smooth and beautiful. It made me feel like watching a nice French movie. I felt so good. Thank you for sharing.

  • I can't stop listening to this piece. Great interpretation

  • wow, well played

  • Bravo bravissimo! Wonderful emotional playing!!!

  • nothings to say, juste hearin...

  • 5 stars. The action on your keys looks a little heavy. I think it might be getting in your way. But excellent nonetheless.

  • awesome! i'm really impressed!..

  • so so so beautiful, the best version ive heard so far. i am now going to look for the sheet music feeling very encouraged! my poor old upright doesnt sound nearly as good as this though so i hope i can do it justice.

    thank you so much!

  • Beautifully played. Thanks for uploading.

    ♫ ♥ ♫

  • Perfect tempo and best interpretation thus far! Bravo!! :)

  • I should have liked to know how to play music .....it seems so soothing to the soul .lovely really

  • wow, perfect sound, perfect video quality and perfect playing.

can you tell me which piano you have?

  • Thanks to all for comments! Re piano - this is Yamaha CLP 230, but the sound itself comes via MIDI from Steinberg The Grand 2 VST

  • @arturm75

I have tried it, but for some reason pedals in my CLP 230 are making sounds when use steinberg - can I set it up some way, to use them in a proper way??

  • @arturm75

Sorry, but i´m having a hard time understanding if this sound comes if from the piano itself or if you use a computer program. If you would be kind enough to take me out of my ignorance I would be very thankfull.

  • Not one single mistake...brilliant. Makes me wanna learn it...actually I will:). Keep up the good work.

  • you can download the sheet music free from 8notes : )

  • This is very beautiful.

How about playing Comptine d'un autre été: L'après-midi - Yann Tiersen for us? If you like the piece, of course. :)

  • Hi arturm75! I very much like your performance of all the songs you posted. I was also born in 1975, as you can see from my login, and I also live in Warsaw, Poland. I started playing about three years later than you - exactly one year ago now. I plan to post some simple pieces in near feature. Looking forward to your new recordings :)

  • very well done - the best version i heard on youtube . keep on with the good work and good luck with the practice !! :) 5 stars rated congratulations

  • Piękna muzyka no i świetne wykonanie:) dzięki takim utworom nabieram coraz większej ochoty na to, by nauczyć się grać. Pozdrawiam

  • You clearly have a gift so keep on using it. As Beethoven apparently said to Liszt "You go on ahead. You are one of the lucky ones! It will be your destiny to bring joy and delight to many people and that is the greatest happiness one can achieve"'.

  • very nice! i appreciate your work and website! its never too late to play music :)

    good feeling!!

  • Your version is really good and quite subtle. Much better than anything I've heard on YouTube. Good luck practising!

  • Beautiful music

  • Good and nice and a great sound. Easy piece for the brain (not to much notes) but difficult for the feeling. Chapeau !

  • This is awesome! Keep up the good work.

  • kept steady pulse... well done!
