Well done !! I've hurd this played fast, quite brashly and perhaps even a bit aggressively yoo but this, IMO, is at the right speed and each key is struck with the right weight & delicacy (leggato?)
There is another version of Gnossienne 1, played with strings and drums. I have searched a lot, but I just couldn't find it. I have heard it in a video, if you write Les Absintheurs or The Absinthe Drinkers into the browser you can listen to it. If someone knows where I can find that version in full, please tell me!
I responded to this vid 7months ago, twice in a minute, same text, sorry, The skills I lack at the Samick are similiar to those I lack at the computer. HOWEVER, after viewing a zillion readings of various performers,of works by variuos composers, the comments by listeners, I see that this piece seems to be universaly met with good replies, and in my humble opinion, this is PROPER! Thanx for the chances to have my say. William
wow wow! you played that beautifully. I can see what you mean about the subtlety, but you'll get it! I don't have the sheet music, but are the quick notes to be played with appoggiaturas or acciaccaturas?
I haven't seen the Painted Veil but this piece is featured prominently in the film Chocolat. Great performance btw, going through the computer with the midi file of the grand piano is very cool, just recently found out about it. Maybe there will be fewer terrible sounding microphone recordings!
PLEASE DON'T READ THIS!!!!! in 1964 13 year old Elisa Johnson was raped and murdered in North Carolina, her body was found with multiple stab wounds, and now that you've read this, every night she will come to your house and hang from your closet with glowing red eyes, the only way to stop this is to post this to 10 other videos
thought this would be an hard song to play for me but i see that you use for almost the whole song the same notes in the left hand, so im going to try this to
It´s not such a hard song. I have already gotten it complete by ear (would have the entire song but my keyboard has too few keys) in about 2 or 3 days, and it´s the only song with two hands needed I can play apart from For Elise.
What is HARD is to put it out right... like this gentleman did. Very nice sound, hopefully soon when I get my digital piano I´ll be able to put it out with such beauty.
After downloadig the score to this piece I just had the Samick tuned to hear my niece 12 years old, play , after one year , pieces I struggled with for years! She can't read a note, Has one of those electrononic things, Debussy, Mozart, Beethoven etc. I grappled with "THE BIG RED BEAST" for 15 years and she brings me to my knees!!!!! playing these works. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!!!! Willy

so so so beautiful, the best version ive heard so far. i am now going to look for the sheet music feeling very encouraged! my poor old upright doesnt sound nearly as good as this though so i hope i can do it justice.
I have tried it, but for some reason pedals in my CLP 230 are making sounds when use steinberg - can I set it up some way, to use them in a proper way??
Sorry, but i´m having a hard time understanding if this sound comes if from the piano itself or if you use a computer program. If you would be kind enough to take me out of my ignorance I would be very thankfull.
Hi arturm75! I very much like your performance of all the songs you posted. I was also born in 1975, as you can see from my login, and I also live in Warsaw, Poland. I started playing about three years later than you - exactly one year ago now. I plan to post some simple pieces in near feature. Looking forward to your new recordings :)
You clearly have a gift so keep on using it. As Beethoven apparently said to Liszt "You go on ahead. You are one of the lucky ones! It will be your destiny to bring joy and delight to many people and that is the greatest happiness one can achieve"'.

I think the grace notes sound far better on the beat.....you play them on the upbeat, but then again it's your interpretation so I understand

Very nice indeed, could you do the other Gnossienne pieces ?

You really have the knack for the tempo to fit what I'm sure the composer intended.,
