Even if this is going to be entertaining, it's too bad that it's non-canon. TRON Evolution is the canon for the movies. There is no way that Tron could have trained a program, and if everyone knew Clu was evil, then Tron would be Rinzler by this time and Flynn would be in hiding with Quorra.
They say that if this show is successful then Tron 3 will be created. I dont see this being very successful tbh, besides for a tight knit group of fans

After playing TRON Evolution and having a blast with it, watching TRON Legacy and deeming it the greatest movie I have ever seen, then watching the original TRON movie, I have my hopes raised to a pretty high level that this will probably reach! Here's hoping it won't suck.

I'm a fan of both Trons... (lol) and this looks pretty epic. I was rather curious as to how they were going to pull off turning the Tron world to cartoon form, and I'd say it doesn't look to shabby.....I'm pretty excited for this to come to DisneyXD!
I dig both the Daft Punk-ish soundtrack and the animation style, but my main question regarding this is why? As in, why did they bother? Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Tron (I have the original movie on DVD and I recently bought Legacy) but not only does this render the Tron Evolution game completely moot, but I'm beginning to think that Disney may end up doing to Tron what George Lucas did with Star Wars: Milk it for all its worth. So far it will cont where legacy left off and bring back other important characters legacy didn't mention but tron did. In the first Tron, Flynn made a copy of himself to serve as a distraction. He called him CLU and he served him until he was killed. Then he made another CLU, who eventually became the main villian of Tron Legacy.

Tron Legacy has a rotten rating on RT you moron. That's not great. A movie should be judged individually, not on how well it sets up for a sequel, so it still sucks. And money doesn't determine how great a movie is, Avatar is the highest grossing movie of all time, but it's not that amazing. Transformers 2 is fucking horrible and still made almost a billion dollars. And no the definition of epic does not mean high grossing, which means epic movies don't have to be high grossing.Dur.

I like this trailer. It reminds me of some classic anime-styled stuff (like AstroBoy) crossed with the computer generated worlds and such (like Code Lyoko and Tron: Legacy). Im all for tron and everything, but people just cant let a good thing go. Tron legacy and the original were great, but there is no need to squeeze the life out of the tron timeline. leave some for the imagination.
I'm tingly all over, just like I was when I saw Tron Legacy for the first time. I love having a resonant connection to these things I enjoyed first as a kid. Disney is marketing me, but I don't mind. And when you heard Bruce say 'The next Tron', you got tingly too, didn't you?

@gekkokkid Just because a film receives high profits does not necessarily mean it did well with reviews. You need to remember people pay in advance to see a film, so even if they disliked the film, the company still gets to keep the money. With that said, Legacy wasn't a bad movie by any means, but it could have been better. Uprising has a lot of potential, but it could still end up being a disappointment. I love Tron, but I'm not going to fawn over a film just because it carries the Tron title.
This looks good, and the VA lineup is certainly interesting. I'd like to see what Fred Tatasciore has in mind for his portrayal of Clu.

I like this trailer. It reminds me of some classic anime-styled stuff (like AstroBoy) crossed with the computer generated worlds and such (like Code Lyoko and Tron: Legacy). This looks to be a unique, although a tad convoluted, series-- I just hope it gets syndicated quickly so it can be seen on other stations/networks so more people can enjoy it.

Im all for tron and everything, but people just cant let a good thing go. Tron legacy and the original were great, but there is no need to squeeze the life out of the tron timeline. leave some for the imagination.

I'm tingly all over, just like I was when I saw Tron Legacy for the first time. I love having a resonant connection to these things I enjoyed first as a kid. Disney is marketing me, but I don't mind. And when you heard Bruce say 'The next Tron', you got tingly too, didn't you?

No, it sucks because not only do reviewers CONSISTENTLY say it's bad, but I did see it for myself, hence why I said it was a disappointment. I say that because I've been a fan of the ORIGINAL Tron for years. You're most likely someone who hasn't even seen the original and just likes the new one because of the pretty colors. 70% of film-goers liked Tron Legacy.
The biggest problem for TL was it's niche demographic.
You had the narrow-minded people who hated the original to contend with.
And the narrow-minded people who LOVED the original and don't want sequels.
So, that cuts out a lot of people right there.
Use your brain before you speak.

@gekkokkid Just because a film receives high profits does not necessarily mean it did well with reviews. You need to remember people pay in advance to see a film, so even if they disliked the film, the company still gets to keep the money. With that said, Legacy wasn't a bad movie by any means, but it could have been better. Uprising has a lot of potential, but it could still end up being a disappointment. I love Tron, but I'm not going to fawn over a film just because it carries the Tron title.
