I am sooo glad I made it to this show. They were in my "must see" category, and they didn't disappoint. I love this band, and they absolutely delivered. I will go see them when or if they come to the Cleveland area. I rocked out to them, they looked like they absolutely enjoyed playing together the whole time. I'm glad they concentrated more on Consolers of the Lonely because I think it's far and away their better album, with more room to improvise live. I loved every moment of their performance
the crowd shots are exactly why I don't haven't gone to bonnaroo the last two years. A bunch of folks standing around with their arms crossed wondering if they should be somewhere else. 2006 was a sweeet year for performances and the crowd were so uninspired.
I was at this show and I didn't want to be anywhere but there. Maybe you were there with the wrong people, or maybe you're projecting. The Raconteurs were awesome, BTW.
I bet they were. They're a great band. I'm just making a comment about the crowds I've observed. I could give way too many examples to list, but the one that sticks in my head is Beck in '06. The people down front were rocking but once you got back towards the first speaker tower, people were on their cell phones, staring blankly. The only time they got down was when a recording of "loser" came over the speakers. it was lame. Personally I'd rather see a band on their own tour than a festival.
actually, was this video taken of a girl with short pigtails on a guy with dread's shoulders? if so, i have a picture of you guys, ha. i think we were a little more to the left than you taped.
i think i was right beside you, when i saw the angle this video was taken at, it was like EXACTLY where i was sitting for this show. they rocked it pretty hard, man.
i think the raconteurs are the hippest band around right now...i think jack will eventually inherit the pick of destiny from jimmy page and carry on as the sickest, most righteous guitar player in all the land ;)
i was there, i cant exactly pinpoint myself in this video though

I'd call the crowds at bonnaroo anything BUT uninspired

Raconteurs and My Morning Jacket made everyone else look like amateurs at Bonnaroo 08, even Pearl Jam and Metallica.

When you're right you're right. The headliners were good but Jack White and MMJ own the roo.

I wish I could have seen The Raconteurs - Jack White is a god to me, but I generally prefer The White Stripes.
However, I was front row center for !!!, so that made up for it.
