The two interviews I've seen with these guys have seemed rather awkward... So many random pauses, and Robert just doesn't seem to play along with Craig as much as he should. If that makes sense. They have their moments, but still. I'm used to Gerry Butler and Ewan McGregor with Craig, this is kind of weird... But I love Robert went through the mustache thing and never even used it lol.

Certainly RDJ has had a harder time living it down 'cause more people know about it...but while it was going on he was cushioned to an extent by fame and money. I think it was probably a bit sketchier to be an impoverished drug addict than a rich and famous one.

Even if he did have money, it really makes no difference in a situation as low and bleak as that. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying RDJ struggled more than Craig, but honestly, I think it was equally difficult for both men. When life reaches the lowest of the low, money isn't what gets you out. And fame? If anything, that'd make it worse. 

Anyway, they're out of it now and can move on. But man, seems like every host brings that topic up at some point.

All I am saying is that I disliked the way that RDJ minimized the history of Craig. That disbelieving "Sounds dark' was super patronising.

I'm just saying that just 'cause he was famous didn't make his addiction any more difficult than Craigs. Conversely it may have been the opposite. Money does cushion you in a way...not from the addiction...but from some of the things that come along with it. ex. RDJ did drugs w/ people in Johnny Depps club...Craig had to go to full out crack houses.
