  • I'm written 150mg a day. After being tired of being a metha-drone, I found a way to bring my dose out and split it for 3 days. the first couple of weeks i was kinda lazy but dropping from such a high dose was such a good thing 2 do.

  • here is where I can help...I know the end is near...if your even if your not one of us you ,you can be part of us

  • 12 step programs are shit, and do nothing for the brain and receptors involved in withdrawals. Opiates change the brain and dopamine secretion permenantly. You know jackshit about which you speak sidecrank

  • Wake up,get on a twelve step recovery program and get a life.

  • thats bull shit that its a life long medacation maybe u will have the " cravings for life but u can get off no doubt it hell lots of runy shit and throwing up but its possible

  • good luck drink plenty of water smoke plenty of weed and get off easier said then done but if u can get down oto say like 40 ull be ok girl ive known people who have done it and i know people who are still trying to get off the 40 to 50 mills hey good luck keep talking about it dont let these punks tell u what 2 do but get off !!

  • How many times you kicked methadone? If youve been on opiates for too long youll never be normal again..Sure you feel ok now but wait till you get down to 20 mg then ten then nothing..You may make it through initial kick and get physically better, but mentally youll never be better. If you do get better you didnt need the methadone in the first place

  • This is the first time I have ever been on Methadone...it's been over a yr. I used it to get off of Oxy Contin, I had kicked OC's by myself in the past, sometimes for over a yr, but always relapsed. Mentally now THAT's a different story!

  • I totally agree with you on that one. I think after being a addict of opiates it is gonna be with you for life of course. With methadone I have been on it and at a clinic for almost 3yrs and have never heard of a success story of someone coming off it and staying opiate free or even benzo free. Its something to think about ya know?

  • I dont think you should be so concerned with getting off of treatment. Many people really should look at methadone treatment as a lifetime treatment..just like some use blood pressure medicine. If you can get off and feel confident that you will not relapse or have those "old feelings",more power to ya. Just dont let others try to force you to quit. I will probably be a lifetime treatment type of person. I will never go back to the other life again.

  • Thank you for the kind words, I tried to send you an email back but it didn't work (can you imagine??LOL) So I posted a response to the recovery vid you have!

    Peace Hayley

  • Good luck with this, stay strong, and keep talking about it. You'll be able to make it through and you'll be the inspiration to help someone else make it through.

  • Thanks so much!
