  • i mastered it. i learned it without trying much. it was after i had mastered the backhandspring. i guess getting the backhandspring got rid of my fear of going bakcwards. so, maybe getting the backhandspring first helps to learn this. it is a lot of fun and easily impresses people.

  • @bboybacnis When he jumps, he makes an arc going up than down instead of straight back. That's why you keep landing on your back hard you have to put your hands way back behind you to stop yourself, set and kip up. Hope this helped, or if you already learned it then forget it.

  • my shoulders always hit before my hands? it doesnt hurt, it and it flows easily, but any tips? i want it to look right. am i just not jumping back high enough?

  • what the heck, i didnt want to let fear stop me, so i just did it. then i landed on my back and got the wind knocked out of me. at least i cracked my back though.

  • jumping back is such a problem. i land right on my back

  • god, i gotta admit and be honest... doing rubberbands seems pretty risky. Failing to do this move and having the back of your head hitting the floor is not so good, as people who are trying to laern this will probably have to experience this such as myself. Anyways, it's really tough... i can't risk injuring my back head and crack my head and god knows wat if i'll have some internal blood clot. X_X

  • @Shadowfury that's why you practice on a soft mat first. I learned this move by practicing on a soft surface first.

  • i can do it with no handed but can't do it a lot

  • try really low ones at first. start from the back and do not do a full kip-up, just kick so hard that you barely get up (if you would stay here you would fall back) now DIRECTLY jump back the exact same way (not moving you hands) and catch you with your hands. this way you get really low ones but you get used to the motion.

  • Thats pretty easy =) it took me 1 month to get normal kip up and from then, sumthin like 2-3 weeks to have hella high rubberband like this...only tip i can tell u is this: Keep Practicing and u will get it soon

  • guys try to be extra careful when ur doing the backwards rubberband,

    my sister broke her left wrsit bcuz of the excess pressure on it. i suggest u practice on a soft mat or bed until u get used to the movements.
