Andrews was an amateur in his young days who used to fight and then rush to the commentary position to do his stint on the rest of the bouts for Irish radio. Todays heaveyweight divison is full of either fat outshape slobs who get tierd after a few rounds or really tall gusy with no skill who only win because of their reach. This was the true period in boxing. These guys went at it for 15 rounds. thats insane.

chuvalo was one of the toughest fighters ever. not a successful fighter, but he fought Ali, Foreman, Liston, Patterson, all the greats and he was never knocked down in 90 fights.

Chuvalo; very tough! One of the toughest in boxing. He's sort of like a Joe Fraiser! He even throws a lot of left hooks like Fraiser and can take shots like Fraiser. But he is not in the same class as Ali. However, if boxing matches went 50 rounds, then anything could happen.

im not saying chuvalo wasnt a good fighter but he had nothing on Ali, chuvalo could take a lot of punishment we all know that but so could Ali. Ali could also dance and jab and always keep up his pace. Chuvalo would never have beaten someone who had all that going for them. The reason Ali always won was because he could sustain his punches all round every round.
