Ulsterscots isn't even a language it's a mildly different version of scots and Irish Gaelic. Furthermore if u don't legally qualify for a passport of either country you can't call yourself Irish-American or in this authors case ulsteramerican. If ur not born there or parents not born there in afraid just just plain American. Plastic paddys come from the USA, same goes for those on other side of the fence living in the states

@tirnaog09 im from NI but live in scotland and yes i have noticed it. its mostly to do with the rangers/celtic football thing. when an old firm game isnt on, or in any other part of scotland, you will find that the scots and irish get on very, very well with each other

The Scots and Irish get on fine apart from the fringe of idiots who trot out tired old songs at football. I'm off to Belfast this weekend and love the place, went to County Clare last year and loved it too! Bigotry brings just blinkers which narrow ones view of the world.
