I thought this bike sounded good. Then I went back and saw the carbon termis w/out baffles and yep, that bike is all set! Looks like you are ready for a long trip. Hopefully, I will join the S4RS club next week, a Tricolore at that!
The 749 isn't comfortable for long trips. The Monster s4rs is the perfect combination of super bike power & dirt bike comfort & control. Ok, maybe the Hypermotard is closer to that mark, but..the s4 is right out of my childhood fantasies riding around the cornfields of Illinois on my Honda xr50! Rides like a dirt bike to me, but my Honda wouldn't have a chance going 0-60 in 3 sec! Speaking of childhood desires, I think I'll ride my s4 to McDonald's for lunch. Anytime I want :P

Great bike.. I've a SS900 MY2000. Have you ever tried the 749? Is it so unconfortable?
I think Monster is more utilizable on open roads than a 749.
