  • If I could meet one celebrity in my lifetime it would be this guy. No question.

  • Scully was after her marriage.

  • When was Scully? Before or after her marriage? I can't remember.

  • Major HOT lips HOLAHAN was the only one on MASH that could make Army fatigues look sexy.LORETTA wit is a superb actress.

  • She will always be Hot Lips in my eyes.

  • @nubrubber he made perfect sense to me

  • Alan Alda's main problem is that he lets his political beliefs into Hawkeye.

  • @DarthSideous63 His political beliefs are very much what the show's beliefs were. So no harm done.

  • CHARACTERS SHOULDN'T GROW, IT'S UNREALISTIC. I ONCE TRIED GROWING AND I PULLED A MUSSEL IN MY FISHNETS.... TWICE. AND AN OYSTER IN MY OI VEY. 'IF IT BENDS IT'S FUNNY'

  • The first 4 seasons were the funniest. Having characters like Lt. Col. Henry Blake, Maj. Frank Burns, Maj. Margaret Houlihan, Pierce and Mackentire that made it so funny. It really stuck to the original movie. Then it got preachy when Winchester and Potter came in. I am a huge fan of the show but really can't watch the last 5 years of it without getting nestalgic for the first 4.

  • The comments about alda ruining MASH is so ignorant i refuse to lower myself to make it look even possibely intelligent

  • Those last two comments are ridiculous and show your ignorance on the inner workings of a team who brought together the single greatest television show in history.

  • I'm glad that Ms.Swit's character was finally permitted to grow and develop into a more caring and nicer person on"Mash"..otherwise..she would have remained a one joke type and she would have been written out of the show.

  • The moment Margaret replaced Hot Lips was the moment to change the channel.

  • Alda, an actor that single-handedly ruined the best series ever made.

  • Margaret Houlihan perhaps inevitably got tired of playing around with an idiot like Frank Burns. She then rushed into a marriage (Donald Penobscott) that failed; after that, she really blossomed more into her own person. She never again had a relationship with any other man on screen, including Charles Winchester. Perhaps the episode "The Nurses" really marked the turning point; after a feud with her nurses, they made peace of a sort.

  • @smwca123 Margaret Houlihan's shortcomings and all,she was a woman of principle and moral fiber.
