Welsh music, and indeed other Celtic forms of music, tend to be depressing :P

They were written on the foundations of strong individual passion. Today, a great deal of music is 'generated' for financial purposes. "Stars" are given heartless, 'bleeding heart' lyrics to croon for the benefit of their scumbag paymasters...

It is *kinda* depressing :P

Not in the sense that it makes the listener feel down - Just in the sense that it's 'low key'.

I call this kinda music 'depressing', even if it isn't by the usual standard definition...
