  • I'd clear all the forages around that pit. but that's me.

  • @thedruidherbalist, Stuff as many cottonballs as you can into a old pill bottle, then pour a little lighter fluid into it. In result, you'll have several pieces of highly flammable tinder in a waterproof container. Perfect for a survival kit.

  • well done.

  • wat do u use to make cotton balls mor flammable wat i do is cover them in vasaline i have that wene i can use my zippo

  • Nice job for being limited to such poor clay! (I've tried this many times and I know it's very hard to keep red clay like that from cracking)

  • win or lose, you gained a new skill. so you win either way.

  • That's the idea! =)

  • It's good for bushcraft sake! ^^ I've learned something new about bushcraft. Thanks a lot. Best regards from Poland, Greg

  • great job. I was going to vote for hobbyexp, who made some amazing pottery, but of the three videos, yours has inspired me to go out and try it. Your modest rice bowl has won my vote.

  • wow... thank you... I'm very flattered.

  • Great job Ed!!!

I have the same problem here.. the only clay is in the ground.. and I am figuring a way to process it now.. will do a video shortly.

  • Well done on completing this challenge. I also found it fun to research and experiment. I intend on making many more pots until I perfect this techinque. A great project for longer camps in the woods.

  • Thanks, Sean.

  • Well done. I hope to see you continue working on this skill. I have also failed so far. I am sure I will get it before the snow falls haha. 5/5
