It does not take long. It was a bit hard cause it was the first plane I'd built and first foam project. I needed servo wire extensions. I think 14" extensions and a Y connector. You don't need a reverser because the servos mount reverse of one another.

Order some extra wing retainer plastic things or be prepared to make them yourself out of toungue depressors or something. You want these parts to break if you crash. I didnt glue the CF rod in either. If I crash I want the wings to come right off and they do.

I love this plane. I even slope soared it this weekend! It can handle a bit of wind. I have landed it on the beach many times also. What fun! Clear packing tape on the bottom for sure and leading edges of the wings make it extra durable.

your servos do not sound healthy

I think it is just the foam making a weird squeeky echo. The servos have been performing well, centering perfectly and no slips or clicks. I probably have about 50 flights with them and they are still kickin. Granted they are $4 hxt900s.
