It's really sad to see how elo has ended. i mean, as of 2011, elo part 2 has slowly fizzed out, losing more and more publicity and fame. but this was probly the best version of showdown ever!

Saw The Orchestra three years ago, with Kelly and Hux and then a few weeks ago with Phil Bates and Glen Burtnik. Both line ups were brilliant. Kelly is irreplaceable and was the heart of the band, but Phil Bates is a fantastic talent, and Glen Burtnik slotted in so well.

I have met PB on a number of occasions off stage. He is a charming and modest man who doesn't have to fill anyone elses shoes. If you think his singing is good his guitar playing will kill you.

Must be so strange and sickening for these guys to perform on stage without Kelly after all these years. Somehow doesn't seem the same without the great ELO man being there. This is a brilliant tribute though, awesome tallents!!

In my opinion (for what it is worth) Phil Bates has probably been the best vocalist to attempt to fill Jeff Lynne's shoes for all re-incarnations of ELO

This is a GREAT version of the song and a perfect tribute to Kelly. This is what music is all about, sharing it with people and sharing emotion. Not being holed up in a mansion triple tracking every instrument to death.
