This is a free country so you can assume anything you like. Considering who I am as an American Barack Obama was definitely the better choice for president whether you are Republican, Democrat, whatever. I get dizzy thinking about what could have been the alternative. And yes, I am very happy to see a black man as president but I'm more happy seeing a man who stands for all the people, not just the conservative so-called Christian right. Yes, we made the right choice!

Dr Martin Luther King Jr once said "one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of it's creed" He then went on to say "we hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal" from the declaration of independence. This president is where he is supposed to be as was Bush and those before him. It was time America recieved a wake up call! God bless you Mr President!

since Pres. Obama is so outraged over "faux" homophobia in [the] Black community & Black churches, why does he so ardently seek and assume their electoral support on every opportunity ? Since it outrages him so, perhaps in order to allow him to maintain his character & integrity, the "Black Community" should offer it's objectionable, homophobic support to a more reasonable and balanced candidate come 2012- just a very short time from now ! Is there any other group he snubs more than Blacks ??

@shieldsff - I don't see the president snubbing blacks or homosexuals. He was elected to be the president of all people and considering all the resistance he has received from those concerned members of the GOP I'd say he's doing a pretty damn decent job with the amount of legislation he has passed. I can assure you he will recieve my vote come 2012! The country will again wake up from it's nap!

I use to despise this song!!! I hated hearing it at funeral's or anywhere else..But you certainly changed my view! I have never heard Precious Lord sung as beautiful as you sung it. I had at to let my whole family here it, and we all felt the same way. What a beautiful blessing. Your voice is off the chains. I sang this song as a prayer for president Obama, that he may be directed to do good, not evil, especially with the power he posesses being the president. Secondly, it is not God that would use this man to bring this country down, it would be satan. It's sad when some people cannot set aside their pettiness for even 1:57. Every American should offer a prayer for him to lead with honor, wisdom and integrity. He will make mistakes, but not since President Kennedy have I felt so proud and hopeful for America's future. Hateful obstructionists announced he was a failure on the day of the election. Thanks for your opinion but a fool, I am not. This IS a great gospel hymn. I agree with you there but this was a prayer that I prayed for President Omaba when he first got elected, that he may do right by the people in this nation and remain safe from harm and corruption. It is my prayer that Obama decides to follow Christ. As the bible says "you shall know them by their works..." Currently Obama's actions, especially with regard to his support of infanticide (abortion) can never be apart of God's will.
