Studies have shown that ketosis (assuming one follows apporpriate Macros 60% fat, 35% protein, and 5% carbs) increases the amount of ATP available to the brain, increases weightloss, lows LDL cholesterol, and is overall a good lifestyle/weight loss choice. The problems so infamous with diets like adkins only occur when people dont follow the ratios and do stupid things like take creatine while in keto
I've said it once and I've said it a million times, many large peeps are hypothyroidic because of low iodine levels. Hell this country is 90% iodine deficient. A lower thyroid will cause weight gain/slow metabolism.

@EricB042389 your body goes through a metabolic shift, in which your body breaks down fatty acids to fuel the brain. meaning you no longer operate on carbohydrates but fat. i weight lift and compete in bodybuilding. and u do not know what u are talking about.
@EricB042389 actually your wrong, as long as she has QUALITY oils in her diet and QUALITY salts plus adequate water that wont happen, because of excessive weight even if she does simple things like stretch RELAX and walk it will improve her metabolism and still be a form of lifting weights because of her build, so that should be sufficient, dont forget the saturated fats and no refined carbs which equate to mucus in your body. peace n blessing
Maybe someone can help me. I find that I do better in heavy ketosis, feel more energy, less hunger, better mood...etc,etc. The problem is I am having a hard time getting my strips to go above a weak or low level of ketones. The times I have felt the best was when I had the strips deep purple. I limit my carbs to less than 5gm a day, limit protein to adequate levels (20%), eat mostly fat. I am kinda stuck with the last 10 lbs (5ft7,160lb). Any suggestions are welcome.
i have done alot of research on the subject and some people do react differently to the low carb products shakes or bars i limit myself to 1 shake and one bar a day but i have read that the color being that dark only represents that im not drinking enough any pinkish color means your in ketosis ill be posting a new vid in a bit because ive made major progress
try apple vinigar as supplement...no harm in trying

Make sure you eat high high fat while in ketosis! Coconut oil, butter, olive oil, suet, lard, etc. These are your fuel sources. Good luck!

Awesome, I have been on inductio for a month and still no dark ones like that, I think it has something to do with the atkins low carb products
