My name is Peter Hawkins and I was the other writer with Ron. Didn't realise it had been number 1 in Austria but that might explain why I am still getting royalties from that area 35 years later. Maybe some Austrian DJ is using it as a theme tune for a rock and roll radio show.
It was also recorded in German by some guy who was reasonably famous and I have a copy of that record somewhere. I wish I could remember what the German title was so that I could look for it on Youtube
nostalgic, the singer is the double of my gran ,they did some good stuff, dont remember this, not one of their best but interesting too see, thanks for post
I have to agree moonkeele. But I really thought that when I heard the first side of Yes' "Relayer" album from 1974. Good gosh man! I love the song, "The Gates Of Delirium," but it's one of those 20+ min. synthesizer excursions that goes on and on and on. As accomplished musically as it is, kids couldn't rock out to it. But yeah, some of this '70s teenybopper pop was pretty lame.
does anyone reconise the girl behind the drummer???????

A fine song that should have done better here in the States. You can see a copy of the WMYQ survey on a website top40surveys.

Not my favourite VFrecording but it got to number one in Austria where this film was shot.
I distinctly remember having the mother of all hangovers on the set after being "entertained" by the record company the previous evening.
