they are telling the wrong recipe the original falooda doesnt have vanila in it and it doesnt use pasta and they doesnt use milk all they use is khoya made with milk and alot other things so this recepe shes saying is wrong n crap
Why do Indians claim Pakistani food as thier own??? Its bloody annoying! All the best restuarants in the UK are owned by Pakistani families. They bring in top chefs from places like Lahore or Karachi. All this stuff comes from traditional Punjabi cooking.
@shahspice Its not native to the Indian Subcontinent hence neither from India or Pakistan. It originates from Iran where it is still popular. It came to India in the early Middle Ages.
cut up some strawberry jelly into like little eatable bits and put that in the cup aswell tastes nice-----ooooooooooops i forgot my thanks lol, yh thanks for this upload
We are not familiar with the term Tukhm Balanga and not entirely certain but read somewhere that they are Tulsi (holy basil) seeds. Tukmaria are sweet basil seeds.
"...with soo many holidays coming up, theres diwali, theres eid, theres thanksgiving, christmas new years...actually you dont even need a holiday.." hahaha soo true
i don't know abt India... but Pakistani falooda has jelly.. mangoes.. pineapple ..which makes it even more delicious!!
Use can also Laziza falooda mix .. just pour it in milk.... it has all the ingredients... but u might have to add more pistachios ... and also add A LOT MORE falooda ki siwaiyaan ...
@syedyasirkamal even in India......we have various versions of falooda.... in Hyderabad they add very little amount of Roohafzah instead of Rose water.....and also top it with Pistachios ice-cream..yummy...:)
This recipe serves 2 (large portions) or basically 1 cup of milk per person. If you want to reduce the portion size, you can use about 1/2 cup of milk per person. Just increase the other ingredients according to how much you increase the milk.
i love you guys:)............i am 14 years old and i am not Indian...........i learned how to make rus malai from u guys.............i made it once in my cousins b day party....and everyone loved it:)..................thank you for posting all these great stuff......i love Indian food:)))
i make it different.... i layer all the ingrediants together so the person can mix it themselves in the glass.... just looks more 'theatrical' that way... but yeh good job ladies! :)
this is kinda the drink version/milkshake/float. i had this dessert at some Persian (?) joint my cousin told me specifically bout this ice cream (trying to make me fat!) and the way they did it was more ice creamy with THICK pistachios all over and that noodle stuff. it was DAMN GOOD. thanks for letting me watch u guys eat then i won't have to eat i'll just watch :-).
I'm sooo making this for my sister! she loves Falooda :D I've seen it made once in an Indian restaurant but the guy didn't mix the rose syrup until the end and it was like lines and swirls of rose syrup ^_^
we can not keep hot food in the refrigerator..that food is not good 4 health,we can always keep cool food in refrigerato.This is science belief not mine.
@niljal they are telling the wrong recipe the original falooda doesnt have vanila in it and it doesnt use pasta and they doesnt use milk all they use is khoya made with milk and alot other things so this recepe shes saying is wrong n crap
Don't u know that we can not keep hot items in the freeze..this is not good for health..it shd be cool in natural atmosphier and then we can keep it in freeze.
Actually, that is an old belief. Bacteria start to form immediately as food starts to cool. If you want to store food for a longer time in the refrigerator, you should keep it immediately before it has a chance to cool down. True, it might take a little more effort on the refrigerator's part, but it will be safer to consume.
It looks good and delicious! Different though from the falooda in E Africa (Zanzibar) where it is left to cool and become a little bit pudding like. And we eat in small portions rather than drink with a straw. his is good too and I'm gonna try it soon. Thanks Ladies and keep up your good work!
Yes, rose-flavored! You can buy the syrup at any Indian store. The rose flavour is very refreshing and gives the wonderful pink color to the drink. This is also another reason we used the bottle so everyone can see what it is supposed to look like and what kind of packaging it comes in.
Food is for every1 not jus pakistanis as the comment below was stating

Your local Indian grocery store should have it.

HI, I could not find falooda sev instead I came up with Cut vermicelli. Can I add it in my falooda drink, or do i need the falooda sev
OmarHassanful 1 year ago
@OmarHassanful
Falooda sev is made from different ingredients than vermcelli. You would need to get falooda sev to get the authentic texture and flavor.

What is the purpose of boiling the milk? Why not just add the cardamon powder and rose syrup to cold milk? As it is this is served cold? Thanks
TejasKadia 1 year ago
@TejasKadia
You can definitely skip the boiling part if you are in a rush, but boiling the milk gives a slightly different taste.

Starpluslover 2 years ago
Rose water might be too mild (we've never actually tried it) and it will not provide the nice pink color.

helo.. am wondering whether we could substitute the falooda sev with thin straps of agar agar..??
shailu127 2 years ago
We've never used agar agar, but some people use thin rice noodles available at Asian stores.
