Steve Smith is turning out to be a great pick. I can't count how many big first downs this guy has made, including that big 3rd and 11 he converted along the sideline in the Super Bowl on THE DRIVE. He's not big or fast, but has great hands and is a tremendous route-runner.

Steve Smith really gave the Giants what no other receiver or Tight End on the team could: separation from the defender without using his body. Plax is a physical monster, Toomer has great feet and body control.

Smith is a brilliant route runner, and I believe he is the reason that the Giants offense was able to move better. Smith was mostly single-covered and with his great running he easily gets open, leaving more space for Eli to deliver the ball. Barring any injury, he has a great future.
