The worst part of it was when he showed up and kidnapped an audience member during one of the Clash of the Champions, put them in a cage & turned them into a big cat. realistically, it wasn't that the gimmick was bad, it's just that they didn't have it planned out all the way. at the time, they were going to have the Scorpion be the Ultimate Warrior, which was STUPID on their part, because he was the WWF Champion at the time. so had they planned it out all the way, it could have been a better surprise than Ric Flair at the end of it. although the magic tricks were the silliest shit of all time. lol
