You can see history being formed, and learn from it. In chemistry you may see combustion, but in practical life you cant learn any relevant information about WHY it happened. You have to consult unobserved particles and look at sticks and dots in a text book. Boring.

are you in principals/general chem or are you in organic. The best advice I can give you with taking chem exams....it might seem obvious, but still.
1. skip what you dont know. come back to it later
2. dont get caught in time traps. some problems are not meant to be solved. you can still get an A- or a B leaving that problem blank. factor in lab and homework, you are still in good shape
3. Chem exams are mind fucks. its more than chemistry. its strategy

Just recognize a "truly" hard problem, and dont take it to seriously. If you stay level headed, you just might solve it. especially if you strategized good and gave yourself the time

Chemistry suck in my opinion. I can never get what they are lookin at. At one point they said this at one point they said that.

are you in principals/general chem or are you in organic. The best advice I can give you with taking chem exams....it might seem obvious, but still.
1. skip what you dont know. come back to it later
2. dont get caught in time traps. some problems are not meant to be solved. you can still get an A- or a B leaving that problem blank. factor in lab and homework, you are still in good shape
3. Chem exams are mind fucks. its more than chemistry. its strategy
4. double check

I dont know if that other post made it or not. but had to make an imp correction. never leave a problem blank as long as you have the time. Just recognize a "truly" hard problem, and dont take it to seriously. If you stay level headed, you just might solve it. especially if you strategized good and gave yourself the time

you hate molecular structures (organic chemistry) you like general chemistry more (math based) Im the opposite. This is scientific, it has to do with acid and bases and how the body is working. Take ap2 and ochem 2.

The arrows represent where the electrons are moving and how the products will be bonded through a magical procedure called a reaction mechanism. LOL I can't believe you just memorized all the steps and formulas without understanding it?!! Of course you hate it then...but if you try to learn with understanding you would see chem is much easier then you think. There are some basic rules you should learn but then everything else follows those rules and it's easy. It's like math, you have to learn how to work with different operations and then just apply them...

thats called hydrogen bonding, ur also working with acids, the lines represent electrons, that when the positive and negative charges come in play, they help and point out how a formula should b written.
the two molecular compounds u had before the arrow r called reactants, and the ones after, r the products, & when this is written it must b balanced with coefficients if necessary.
