@MUHAMMADm120 he says "word to the holy koran I rock on and on" when you say word to something it means you take it as high value because you are swearing the truth on it. it's like saying word to the holy bible, we breathe oxygen" hahaha but i hope this helped
@MUHAMMADm120 Yo I be the number 1 icon, word to the holy quran I rock on and on. On and on, and on and on and on. You will understand when I form voltron.
But Busta's always been about the new trends though. He's always been on the next wave of new shit.
Granted, the new shit he's on isn't as "For the art/culture" as it was back then but Busta hasn't changed that much man. He's still always on the new shit.
Busta do new stuff now with lil wayne. They just talk about hos and mess they need to talk about life and stuff happen today. Tupac was my favorite and my other one is z-ro
This album was made in 1996-97. Why at the end of this song, he's repeating "There's only 5 years Left"??? 5 yrs. until when....what happens in 5 years? LOL just a thought. I love this song!
@HoneyChali Your wrong.. Album was made in 1995.. And it was rumors that the world was going to end in 2000.. Y2K shit if you aint too young to remember but yeah thats why
It really is sad, because alot of kids my age (i'm 16) dont know about music with this kind of lyrical content, everything has to have a repetitive beat, and a stupid ass dance to go with it
@jtyke14 yea man im 16 too ima busta rhymes fann and i have been listening to his old albums and new albums so yea it is sad for some kids who dont know about crazy rhymes lyrics like busta rhymes
All the big artists and bands are on labels that are in turn owned by a group of companies, the number of whom can be counted on your fingers, maybe even one hand. They in turn own or control all the television stations, radio, and even news outlets. The billboards, music awards shows, countdown lists--it's all set up and controlled. This is the reason why many of the most creative artists have to create their own labels to release theirs or similar music by friends.
When Busta said, "There's only five years left", that proved to be strangely prophetic. The music industry as a whole started to really go into complete shit around that time, at the turn of the millennium. And as a whole, all the really bad problems the U.S. and the world are facing now really became pronounced around that time as well. Even rap and hip hop started it's downfall around then, until now, most of it sounds like silly, watered down, weak crap. Busta had clairvoyance I guess.
@zipthepinhead alot of real artists noticed it too because they saw the way mtv was monopolizing things and brainwashing the new generation cause generation x wouldnt have stood for this newschool gay ass jerk off music
@l3054 Now MTV doesn't even play music anymore. You're right--for years before now, they were playing crap music. All the really good artists, the truly creative ones, in all the genres, got almost no attention from them. Actually all of the big entertainment companies in the music industry don't bother to promote the great artists. Mostly because I think, they often have messages in their music that go against what the entertainment, media, and government want you to think.
@zipthepinhead yea they just repackage the same sound over and over again this has been happening at least since nsync annoyed the shit out of everybody in the later 90s
@l3054 Imagine if you sent any one of the big mainstream artists today in a time machine back to 1995 and they played that music? They'd be laughed at and maybe even get a beatdown for that crap. Even some of the older ones are getting weak and sold out now. Just think, what would Tupac being saying now with the state that the music industry and the U.S. is in today--I'd venture to even say that's why he was killed back in '96--preemptive strike to eliminate somebody who was on to them.
@zipthepinhead yea the worst part is its hard to tell the average person about this cause they just wanna stay in their bubble and listen to that commercial garbage they dont wanna think or they start thinking youre a conspiracy theorist or something but they just dont get that its a 100% monopoly and that most of the general population is brainwashed
@zipthepinhead Man tupac wouldn't react to today's music he wasn't a hater..Look at the outlawz they working with lil wayne and jay-z..And don't gas up pac he wasn't all that lyrical..
@zipthepinhead Man tupac wouldn't react to today's music he wasn't a hater..Look at the outlawz they working with lil wayne and jay-z..And don't gas up pac he wasn't all that lyrical..
The only thing I think is funny about the whole "Busta is all sold out now" thing is if you listen to Bustas music throughout his career hes been on the new curve the whole time. When he was in Leaders Of The New School they had the style popular at that time, when he went solo his '96 and '97 albums both sounded like old school, then after that he joined in the new wave in 202 like Redman and Nelly and everyone else around 2000. Hes always been adapting. Thats why he stayed famous for 90 years
