  • I KNOW HOW HE DID IT.

  • Press 5 :D

  • I tried this, and it really doubles the range:D

  • press 3 and Jermey will say sex! :P just for laughs!

  • no wonder when you have an headache the battery is down of all the electric in your head lol

  • Brain function is all about billions of tiny electrical signals. Therefor you always have a sort of electrical field around your head which can attract all sorts of signals. Try walking in-front of an old tv set which receives its images via antenna and you may be able to get a clear picture simply by putting your finger on the input. A piece of advice never keep magnate or magnetic items around your head as it could actually change your mood ,temper or may even cause damage to your head.

  • I knew it. As a kid I played with radios, when it the signal is bad, I hold the antenna and it works again. The whole body works as a BIG ANTENNA!

  • Wadsworth Constant applies.

  • @DoctorJIS Fuck you.

  • Anyone who is skeptical either doesn't own a car or is too lazy to walk a few dozen meters from their driveway. I tried this.. it blew my f***ing mind. My friend told me about it, how the body acts as an antenna or something.

  • @superhornet59 It has to do with the parabolic shape of your skull. Look it up

  • @SilentEcho8 No kidding huh, will do! Just for kicks I'll try pointing it at my leg or something and see if it has any effect too :)

  • seem that he switch to other remote control when pointing to his head.

  • How on earth did he come up with that ? !

  • @levlevi yes, answer)

  • wizardry!

  • why does the camera turns look suspicious

  • @TOKIOHOTEL1000000 sooooo true.....

  • It' s about lens...eyes are lens...it' s like making the ray bigger...

  • the human body is worth 20 ft of antenna wire

  • if i had keyless entry, id try this

  • Please don't tell me this is fake XD

  • @moha84 It's not. I tried with my car and it actually worked!

  • @moha84: I use this for years, it really works

  • *heads, not Hess

  • @MIAthe305

Yeah I was about to say, it is really suspicious how the camera moves that way. I think he just wanted to see all the BS that people write to him in an effort to look like they know what they're talking about. That or he thought it would be funny if people walked around acting like they were shooting themselves in the Hess with their keys

  • b/c the camera turns not to expose the person that standing closer and clicking it....or its his uncut curly hair that amplifies the frequency

  • i tried this many times and my doctor says i have 3 months left :(

  • It's because Jeremy's skeleton is made of metal.

  • @Jonassoe Ah HAH! Jeremy is actually Wolverine! --With less hair.... Quite a lot less...

  • I didn't see it work the second time....

  • good inspaction its absolutely gone work becouse you body ground to the arth

and human body dose have same sort of electricity, so when you atech key to your

body ,your body works as of antenna , but jeremy thats very good kach

i am Ridwan khoda ,Elacronic Engineer

    i love Top Gear ,

  • came her from listening to chris moyles

  • it dosent have to do with the brain u can also use ur chin and work as well... maybe it has to do with the bone and not the brain

  • Skull as an extra ariel? :S

  • maybe cuz the head has powerful electrical nerves from your nerve system that can work as amplifiers.

  • how did they find this out?

  • u can also do the same thing with ur fingers: just use a finger and place it over the remote and it works, at least it did for me. weird huh?

  • Your brain creates about enough electricity to light a 60w bulb so therefore; through electrical induction such as the no contact electric toothbrush charger, the brain has just enough electromagnetic induction to create a more powerful radio output on the key fob.

  • @KeepingModern Yea, but the signals that go through your neurons are technically polarized chemical action potentials, right? Its not REALLY the same electricity that we find in our electronics. So I'm not sure if our brains would be capable of amplifying an electromagnetic wave through any sort of simple inductive process. I mean, what appears to be happening reminds me of the population inversion process found in EMR resonant cavities like HeNe tubes.

  • @KeepingModern Perhaps the radio waves emitted from the key induce spin in the water molecules around your brain, kind of like what an MRI machine does....and perhaps the water molecules act like mini-capacitors, storing up the remote EMR energy and releasing it in a concentrated pulse like an EMP? I would need to do some tests to come to any solid conclusion....

  • The brain does what it wants

  • wtf

  • 3r

  • bullshit, skull works like an antennae. goes through eye sockets out.

  • it's because our brain emits waves such as delta, theta, etc... basically, what jeremy does is amplifying the signal by using his brainwaves. i'm sorry i'm no scientist, but this is roughly what's happening. if you're curious about it look it up on google or in an enciclopedia.

  • Whitch episode is this?

  • if you keep repeating 0:55 or 0:56 Jeremy says buttcheek

  • @Matthew2168 yeh he does say that lol scary

  • it's about making your car work by threatening to kill yourself :D

  • it´s using your head as a kind of antenna :D

  • Anyone know which episode this is?

  • hey guys. it's rather simple:

your whole body works as an antenna!

never adjusted your radio and when it was working and you stepped back it still was no good? same effect.

  • cmon guys...its doesnt work.....say it with a british accent. IT WAKS

  • cancer much

  • it works!!!!!!

  • It works!

  • In wars they used fat people for radio communications. They always had better reception. True story

  • u can acualy use it anywhere of ur body cuz ur body in this case work as access point or so, if u know wat i mean

  • @spdkillz3 where in my entire comment did i say that it won't work? i was merely talking about how if you aim the key-less entry remote at your head like the host did at a greater distance it works, when without aiming it into his head it didn't. so don't go calling me a dumbass when i didn't do or say anything to you!!!

  • That is so neat! Did that with my grandmas Impala and it worked! No clue how!

  • I've done this for years... everyone always looks at me like I'm stupid... I put it under my chin and I do open my mouth... ha not sure if that helps or not...

  • im guessing it's the same principle as a radio antenna works. When in contact with the human body we amplify the signal (our body acts as an antenna) so the range is increased. Bazinga!

  • @ZeeManDWeasel That's what I was thinking.

  • @ZeeManDWeasel Thank you Dr. Cooper.

  • Notice how the camera was on his right side when he put it to his head and on his left side when he didn't?

  • @newonewo12 so?

  • Great way of increasing the risk of brain cancer.

  • The camera moves to a certain side when he isn't using his head then the other when he does.

  • I was walking to class and forgot to lock my truck. walked back and then i remeber this video. Wtffff. This shit works.

  • central locking range is psicologic lo/

  • autosugestion

  • I think the optical organs in our eyes has something to do with that, like increasing the signal maybe?

  • actually it works :)

  • The CLK Black <333

  • whats up cancer

  • @bradicalable

    lol .win.

  • IT WORKED ON MY DICK! :o

  • Works because your head acts like a parabolic antenna

  • my dad tought me this before he passed and its not only your head basicly anywhere it works best on your chin all this dose is give more ground to the pageing system therefor unlocking/locking it from a farther range.

  • It worked on my Opel Astra :D

  • i use this for my car but i put it under the chin.

  • I FUCKIN' HATE COMMERCIALS!!!

  • It works!!!

  • WTF?

  • I think I saw that on "I Didn't Know That"

  • its actually jeremy's hair which is acting like an antenna

  • bigger head more range

  • it uses your body as an antena a big one in fact its the same at radios and tv sometimes

  • Comment removed

  • Well it redirects the inline specs on the rotary gurter allowing the range to increase... Its quite simple

  • @yoothgeye It wasn't the words (that weren't at all big I might add) that confused me, it's the fact you overcomplicated something so simple and actually managed to confuse yourself.

  • Comment removed

  • @yoothgeye You're just a condescending prick, who can't even use slang properly when trying to insult someone he/she thinks he/she is better than, but in reality, isn't.

  • black magic!! burn him he's a witch!

  • @fairyheli2 not unless he weighs as much as a duck ;]

  • Blud if you do that too much your brain explodes.

  • researchers are saying that if you dude it too much it starts to cause cancer.. ughh ! but in other news... listen to my music.. it cures it

  • It's simply because contact with the fob allows the body to act as an extended antenna. The fobs antenna is a short lenght of coiled copper wire inside the case. Antenna lenghts are matched to the transmission frequency for efficiency but need to be extended for best results. Holding the fob against the head allows the signal to propogate from the body as if from an extended antenna. Try holding the fob against a lampost to see the same effect.

  • "Ever wondered how to increase the range of your central locking car key?"

    What does this even mean?

Oh, central locking is British for remote electronic locks.

    How does this happen.

  • its cause your skull is a pretty good approximation for a parabolic reflector dish and since you have holes in your skull mostly at your face it works out that the signal is amplified in that direction

  • Hmmmm... Something about how the camera man moves from side to side of him everytime he puts it against his head makes it seem fishy :P

  • @invalidtorture erm no it doesnt because if he didnt move to the side, we wouldnt see the car...genius

  • @oliroolz yes you would be able to see it you moron. iff they kept the same angle at 0:25 you would still be able to see the car beep. Anyway i just looked at your channel and your a troll so stfu.

  • Interesting, didn't know that a keyless entry fob was referred to as "central locking" in UK.

  • basically your boy is a big antena

  • you body emits natural radiation. also, becuase of our nervous system, humans have a partial electric charge. when a radio signal, such as the lock opener, the body then amplifies it becuase the natural electric charge increases the signals strength

  • @wazscience congrats. That's the dumbest explanation of anything I've heard in a really long time.

  • @wazscience - No, electric charges and natural radiation don't amplify things, that's not how amplifiers work.

That's like saying you can plug an audio jack into a wall outlet and speakers into another one and it will amplify it.

  • well done Cockson, you've just sent a bunch of radio-activity through your brain

  • @soufang

    car remotes are infared

  • @wasifusion They have RF remotes as well.

  • UGGGHHH FUCK THIS MICHAEL BAY ADD

  • this works because your head is a parabolic reflector essentially acting as a dish to widen the length of the signal. similar to that of a dish for satellite tv.

  • @Temeraire519 *sniff* I smell bollocks.

  • @StikManJones ummmm nope thats how it works. go read a physics textbook.

  • @Temeraire519 physics? go read a biology textbook, youve got a fucking brain and liquid in there which ABSORB, not reflect. dumb arse.

  • @StikManJones hahaha, to bad im in university with a physics major and a biology minor. that is actually how it works. your skull is a parabolic reflector and yes your brain does absorb some of the signal (hence why its probably not good for you) but the absorption isn't significant enough to decrease the range of the signal. if what you are saying was true then the length of the signal would be decreased rather than increased.

  • @StikManJones you twat. your brain doesn't absorb radio waves- how do you think you get mobile signal or radio signal through a building?

    my god you are stupid

  • @irateradio I don't think it uses radio waves, does it?

  • @StikManJones Go read wikipedia or adult science textbooks, not elementary-school ones. Waves and properties of materials (reflection/absorption) have NO BUSINESS in biology textbooks. It's physics. Even if you were right, you'd still be a worthless, friendless retard, since you rail at unfamiliar people on youtube for no valid reason whatsoever. Now, how folk like you survive is indeed a biological mystery!

  • @Fr34k1ng0ut lol 4 month ago. sad fuck.

  • what have i done to my head lol!!!

  • its true!

  • @karadan100 Haha, a good bit of writing, if it made sense. A better explanation would be comparing the effect your body has on the antenna of your TV or radio. The human body is a weak conductor, but a conductor nonetheless, and it can be used to manipulate radio waves. Since the keyfob uses weak radio waves, sending them through the body apparently adds a few yards to range. However, I've ready that the body does not amplify radio waves, so the specific frequency is probably why it works.

  • what car is that?

  • @Drifter9502 mercedes clk i think

  • @geekybro Looks more like a SL to me (see the tail light)

  • @cynclare nope just searched it on google its definately a clk

  • @geekybro No.

  • @geekybro I don't even need to google to see that... Sorry bro, Its definately a SL

  • @geekybro It's a bloody SL55

  • @Drifter9502 Its Jeremy's SL55 AMG

  • @JayRicci7891 Why is there a dispute? if IS A SL55 AMG, its obvious even to my girlfriend, he may have owned a clk black edition but this is not it! i'm agreeing with jay but mostly disagreeing with geekyboy for even saying anything....hmff! googled it, u fkin idiot you should stick to spotting the difference between marvel caracters and stay away from cars...

  • 0:38 "Golum Clarkson" !

  • @yourass117 ahahaha

  • @yourass117

    HAHHAHAA

  • Your head works simply as an antenna. You get the same effect if you put your arm up and put the key against your arm...

  • It's just a ground plane, thatt why the range doubles.

  • I've tried it, and really it does work!........ brain power its an amazing thing

  • I've tried it and really it does work......... amazing

  • If that really works it must be unhealthy

  • @guilleory

not really. certainly no more than a mobile phone or being in range of a radio station transmission.

  • @guilleory you sir, are a retard

  • @minoshman1 I dont remember to have insulted anyone....why you do it? idiot....

  • @guilleory you didn't insult anybody but in no way would doing this affect your health.

  • Your skull amplifies the waves, but i wudnt recommend doing that, probably end up getting cancer or brain tumer or sumtin

  • well ... it sends waves through your mind

  • LOOK CAREFULLY IS PRESSING THE WRONG BUTTON!!!!

  • @r2pctech100 BOTH THE LOCK AND UNLOCK BUTTONS WILL WORK! ALSO HER COULD BE PRESSING THE PANIC BUTTON WHICH SETS OFF THE LIGHTS WHEN YOU CAN'T FIND YOUR CAR!!!!

  • @carGT222 shark SMELLS human

  • it is even better to hold a key lightly and raise your hand straight up to the sky, and press the button.

  • @rahmani15 WHY ARE YOU! YELLING!

  • LMAO!!!!

  • Its about time Jeremy uses his brain.lmao.

  • Good god, this is an old episode - wh3ere's May?! Why has JEremy got a full head of hair?! What happened to Shinyteeth?!

Also, the words you guys are looking for; Parabolic Antennae. It's what your skull acts as (minorly...) for the radiowaves.

  • anyone else had a portable radio and it helps the sound quality when u put ur head near it the antenna?

  • I would say, it's due to our C.N.S (Central Nervous System) and the Peripheral N.S, and we act like a big amplifier due to our nerve components, because our body runs on electricity, as the car key's components

  • @DeathXter i have found them, but they were a little brown...

  • @DeathXter been to the loo yet?

  • it works just as good if u put your key fob under your chin.. instead of looking half cracked holding your keys to your head

  • Works the same with a mobile phone... if you have no reception but you want to send a text, make a text, put it against your head and send it. How strange it sounds (i know, couldn't believe it myself) it does work! :P

  • @DeathXter, some kinda weird time/space warp....I found 'em, but I need to talk to you about a price...the recovery was kind of akward...

  • It's due to the vacuum in your head. Only very stupid people can do this.
