Wow.. A lot of people completely irrational and out of order! Hah!
In case anyone is still traumatised buy this video, the man holding the alpaca by it's 'ears' is using the palm of his hands to support the face either side and in all to support the alpacas neck as it it rolled over.
The alpacas went right back to grazing minutes later feeling much better! We were getting through the better behaved ones in about 3 minutes... We had over 800 to do between two people shearing. Took two and a bi
I'll be yet another voice vouching for the fact that this doesn't hurt the animals. Also, it takes me around an hour to fully hand-shear one animal, whereas this method gets them done in three or four minutes. Saying this is cruel to the animals is like saying that a mom taking the winter coat off her five year old when its 100 degrees outside is cruel.
im a professional alpaca shearer, I shear 3000 of these animals a year and I own them myself and I can tell you that animal is not being hurt, its just scared. Unfortunately its impossible to explain to it what is going on. As soon as that animal is let up, within a minute, it will be in a pasture munching on grass like nothing has even happened. You people making all these outrageous comments should take a second to think about what your saying.
Animals do not have the same exact nervous system as humans. Pulling on their ears may not hurt them, while the fact that it can't move scares it. The only way to shave an animal, I would assumes, is if it's still. I've seen people in stables tie up a mule while they scoop its shit, and it shouts and screams as though its skin was being ripped off. Animals have a hard time understanding, and in order to make money, they may just have to suffer for a few minutes, though they're not being hurt.
You should not put that video on... It looks like the animal is suffering. I have 2 llamas and I never treat them like that. There is a better way to shear an alpaca without hurting him. I will pull on your ears to see what you will say!!!!! :( :|
YOU DONT HAVE TO PULL THEIR FUKCING EARS YOU ASSHOLE I FUCKING HATE PEOPLE WHO ABUSE ANIMALS! I HOPE YOU FUCKING DIE. jesus fucking christ thats so mean. heartless ass hole
don't worry sweetheart, it sounds worst than it is, they're not hurting the animal, F.Y.I the wool that's being trimmed on this alpaca , easily brings in a cool $3,000 ...
well....if you put it that way, the only thing you're going to be able to shear is my pubes!!. and you're sure welcome to 'em. just make sure you turn it into a towell, and then wipe youre face and mouth with it.
@monkeytuy Yes, you do have to pull their ears, and no, it doesn't hurt them one bit. Also, you got your c and k mixed up. Just thought I'd mention that.
