  • This is the best performance regarding to mixing classical music and iranian dance. dame samad agha garm

  • swan lake into 6x8 ...I love this video...:X:x:X

  • this is world class performance, it only needs to translate.

  • wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ke man az khande ro zamin welooooooooooom, yeki biyad jamam kone!

  • One could replace her with any with modern political ambitions from the west friendly modernist like Shah to the left wing Marxist modernist. They all underestimated the power of reactionary forces and lost their power and lives.

Or you could just ignore my analyze and enjoy the show. I never had a chance to tell Mary I was in love with her and know she is in LA and I am sitting here in Oslo watching her cry.

  • The third level is the political one. Mary is a symbol for modern streams in an old culture trying to invigorate and refresh it by bringing some modern element to it. But the man is the symbol of the old culture convenient with is way. The girl underestimated the inertia and reluctance of the traditional patterns and is forced to leave the scene.

  • I discover different levels in it the more I watch it just like Persian poetry.

One level might be the gender level ,the girl has a flexible body and mind but the man is rigid, conservative and afraid to learn new movements. The girl knows that the notes may be different but there are things you could share with new movements and old ones. The man knows it as well but uses that knowledge in a very opportunistic way to step backward into his rigid but convenient pattern of life.

  • This is from a time when metaphoric communication was very popular.Back then I was 17 and a Marxist and in low with Mary Apic.Never met her but as sitting in her public. We have women with fire in them like Fourough Farokhzad and Mary is one of them.

These were some tens of artists who inject vitality and fire into the lifeless body of Iranian society. Do not forget that the country was in an intellectual crisis after the clash of political ambitions in 1332(1954).

  • hillarious

  • The transition from swan lake into 6x8 is amazing. Extraordinary!!!

  • composer and the main violin player of this video is " Mojtaba Mirzadeh "

  • composer and the main violin player of this video is " Mojtaba Mirzadeh " ............تنظیم این قطعه موسیقی و نوازنده ویولن ضبط آن ( نه این هنرپیشه که در فیلم می بینییم ) توسط زنده یاد استاد مجتبی میرزاده صورت گرفته است. یادش گرامی باد

  • Parviz Sayad is for sure one of the best Iranian actors and screenwriters. I hope one day very soon, he will be appreciated by Iranian nation.

  • Mr Azadi is alive and well, he is living in Germany.

  • I was told that Nozar Azari passed away many years ago! Look how civilized we were and look how Iran is now, yeesh.

  • Is Nozar Azadi alive still? Did he escape?

  • Parviz Sayyad is a greatly under appreciated artist. His prolific creativity has been largely ignored in favor of his Samad character. I for one have the greatest respect for Mr. Sayyad's artistic talent and politcal accumen. Payandeh Iran

  • very nice

  • Very good. I was really looking for this clip. Tnx.

  • Those in Iran, who believed that "time cannot go backward" were totally wrong. Yes the time can go backward, even 1400 years".

That is, a nations achievements and civilization can go backward, when a backward regime take over the country and takes it, from 20th century progress to the backwardness and savageries of today. It is so sad to see what has happen to Iranians since this film was made. Yes the time and progress can go backward.

  • Very good point.

  • But excellent post. Thank you.

  • Very nice , Parvizeh Sayad is one of the very talented and gifted to Iranian society , long live sayad .

  • The Shah of Iran was trying to enlighten his people with Western Culture, which is important to every culture, without it you have a bunch of ignorant people that haven't experienced much. Too bad it didn't last. Iran today is what happens when you have a majority of uneducated ungreatful people that don't know how good they have it until it's gone.

  • I just pitty that I wasnt born be4 the revolution...

  • Yes sinsin....it's sad that you and your generation have missed the great days of Iran. It's good that some films are still there as proof that Iran was a totally other culture before the revolution. Yaade oon roozha be kheyr!

  • It was great time with no molahs and mafias..in Iran

  • i love this one!

  • encore

  • Gush those Iranians are something. I am discovering this and I sould say that I am rolling with laughter. They are definitely talented!

  • hahaha fantastic ... love it

  • Awesome piece. Amazing cross-cultural display. Very smart people.

  • oh world, if you only knew. this humour in this clip is so hilarious! zende bad iran va iraniane aziz!

  • good old times
