Playing music fast doesn't mean a person is good. Everyone can play this really fast, but only a few people can play it with real emotions. It's like the music just flows out of the piano and as an audience, you know that the musician is not just focusing on playing the right notes or catching up with the tempo whatsoever.
well, people wanted to see the pedal... my arse would have been in it no matter what angle i changed it to if i wanted to get the pedal in unfortunately :( oh my days how many times do i have to mark that comment as spam before it actually shows up as spam?!? @_@
A pleasing performance of the Mariage D'amour. Although not technically perfect, your emotion and passion shines through. A very touching rendition of the piece. Good Job!
Oh, and unfortunately, i didn;t realize that it wasn't recording until about a minute into the song...so a little bit of the beginning is cut off... sorry about that.
um no shes playing it at the right speed. its a fast song the tempo is 144 for 8th notes. i like it at a quicker speed. and if you can play it better why dont you post a video of yourself playing it? and lets see how you compare if you think you're so great.
I think she plays great, but I have to agree with Enteligeny... I found it made more sense to follow a slower meter. But then again, it depends on how each and every one of us interprets the music to themselves. I posted a version of me playing it at the speed at which I felt made more sense to me. Just type : ammarios in the youtube search space and you'll see it. You might agree with me, or you might not. Depends on your taste and opinion... but I would value some feedback :-)
well my friend showed me this song and she plays it really fast lol. So I guess that's how I am used to hearing it? Oh by the way..this is ILoveLiShaoran...but on a different account ^_^ but yes now that I have learnt it I DO prefer it at a slower tempo. But I agree and disagree with Enteligent...she's not a "bad" player..she's really quite good but yes you should play a LITTLE slower.
thanks for the feedback guys! actually i prefer to play songs slower in general. I think the only reason I played this one so fast is because I didn't have the sheets to play by and therefore rushed in case I forgot the notes^^;; (I'm so not used to playing from memory!) i agree too, i defo played this too fast. i think it's in the vid description as well that i thought it's too fast...? hmm =3

on my website--good luck finding it =p i don't do personal sendings of the sheets anymore. if you can't find it, don't bother asking--you haven't looked carefully enough.
try playing a bit slower but still good. i learnt this song in 10 minutes, honestly (8th grade in piano). but yeah nice job. now record one wearing converse chucks ^^
LOVE the way you play this song, i dont understand how people bring up minor imperfections in this that dont exist..weird..anyway, GREAT JOB on this..two thumbs up!, * hi 5*
ah! okay ^^;; i'll bear that in mind, thanks ^_^ heh heh, some people have told me i played it too slowly, i dno... i think the original is about that speed or a bit faster so... bleh x_x;; oooh well~ guess i can't please everyone! i just play at the speed i'm comfortable with <3 =]
i think it would have sounded better if your left hand pressed the keys with less force. Also try to vary the loudness of the melody - then it has this soothing effect. Nice song anyway.
thanx for all this, watching these videos helps me with my mechanics, you have a pretty face but this camera angle is the best so I can see your hands/feet together :)
ooooh omw... haha sorry i misunderstood what you said... i thought you meant a different pedal ^^;; ugh.. sry i just got back from Germany yday and im tired... x_x;;
okay erm... i just press it by feeling... like where i feel it should flow? if you're not sure, then pressing it at every phrase should be good, so just the complimentary harmonies are held on to each other, and when a new chord starts then... yeah... ugh sorry im really crap at explaining... i have a headache atm x_x
btw i dont have a drag pedal, my piano's not that good... those cost waaaaaaaay too much, and just for an upright too! mine was only about £2000-£3000 (yeah i say only... heh heh...) so the middle pedal is a night-mode practise pedal. you can keep it held down and practise at night, the sound is much softer so doesnt wake anybody up when they've gone to sleep ^_^
Eek! I know how you feel. Whenever I have to take exams I sit on my fingers the entire car ride. It's impossible to play properly with cold fingers. On the other hand, you did a good job.
y the ending part is kinda like a bit weird.. especially during 2.58, its like u stop a bit too long xD

Why are you people so obsessed with speed?

He plays it with his heart, not his metronome.

The level of the piece is around 4-5
level 2-3 pieces don't use the pedal much, especially not that that pace.

Don't listen to these people saying "slower" or "faster". Playing with feeling, emotion, and beauty is much more important.
