Much gratitude for your kind thoughts, Rich! I'm pleasantly surprised to be reminded of Beth....if only I had her lovely locks (and sensational hooping skills, while I'm dreaming!) ;-)
Hahaha! I am lucky I generally don't follow over, I just love spinnin'! Although I do tend to stumble a lot if I don't spin the opposite way too! Anyway, thanks!
Thanks! That trick at 1:27, where the hoop goes behind your back and around your body, how do you do that? I have seen it a number of times in videos and can't quite seem to grasp how it is done. It looks so simple and easy, but whenever I try it it stops dead, getting stuck on my shoulders. Is there a hint you can give or something to focus on while I'm trying it?
I've got broad shoulders so I ran into the same problem! Think about pushing the shoulders down as the hoop is passing over them, it's a matter of getting the feel for the timing. Make sure the hoop is rotating around you on an even vertical plane. Also think about rotating the hoop higher on your neck, with equal pressure there and where the bottom of the hoop hits your leg. Hope that helps! :-)
That was so beautiful! Very inspiring!
