That argument doesn't weigh in. The rest of the news stations are either liberal leaning or in a way non-biased. There's a proportion of America (about 40%) who are completely stupid -I mean REALLY stupid who will either watch the extreme liberal or conservative stations and because Fox gives Conservatives a place to only hear the news that they want to hear, they turn to it for comfort -hence the high ratings.

I don't think you're really paying attention to the Liberal media. CNN at one time had someone named, Glenn Beck, and they fired him because he was conservative. Infact I watch Fox a lot and I never see very much bias. Infact the Liberals want to get rid of Fox and talk radio. I have a journalism degree, I LIVE for scrutinizing news corporations, I'm not a Liberal or a Conservative so I can honestly say -from a non biased position and from my professional experience that Fox News doles out drivel everyday and you would have to blind and deaf not to notice it. It isn't skewed, there's no opinion just facts about what is really going on because European news stations don't compete so much for ratings and the mood in Europe isn't polarized, it's pretty much in the center so you don't get news network competing to spread their political views.
