A man with ability, conviction and a back bone, rare combination in Irish politics. Badly missed, rest in peace because when you were with us you fought the good fight.
@mmcloughlin2001 fair enough but the inner city of dublin was one of the poorest places in europe in 1982 and nobody was doing anything so tony done what had to be done if the money was taken from the wealthy areas and put into north dublin then good.
This man is an example of what politicians can achieve for their constituents. Tony Gregory made a difference to the lives of his people and that is his legacy. A truly selfless individual. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam
May the soil of your beloved Dublin rest lightly on your gentle soul..You are what politics should be about..honesty and hard work..RIP, you have MORE than earned it !! A light went out in Dublin that can never be replaced!!
the only honest and genuine politician there was....,a dublin legend,r.i.p tony...,im a bit too young to have seen a lot of what you did but my dad said you were a great man, sadly missed..
...so fighting for the deprived and downtrodden is a thing to be reviled? Socialist or not no one else was or is doing it in the Dail nowadays and look where it's got us, cronyism to the extreme and a broken Republic. No wonder the North wants to remain a part of the UK.
This is such a beautiful video - we really do hope that supporters of Tony Gregory will join us for a national protest against Harecoursing in Clonmel in Co Tipperary on February 4th. Please contact ICABS or ARAN for further information, together we can end cruelty to animals in Ireland and beyond.

Greatest parish pump politician of them all, held the government to ransom for money for his area.

It's always the good ones like Tony. It's never the absolute gobshites like Lowry or Healy-Rae.
He'll be sadly missed.

I didn't know that he had passed, RIP.
He was indeed a WONDERFUL example of an excellent human being where power didn't corrupt. So, there's hope.
Thanks for posting this video and giving us a chance to express our sympathy and appreciation.

Farewell Tony Gregory. You were one of the very few politicians with integrity.
You will be sadly missed. I greatly admired your campaigns against blood sports and the evils of drugs.
