Hey dude, I Have a Picture in photoshop , with about 5 layers, but when I import it in After effect as a composition, I can only see one .. ?? I saved the file in PSD. I had no problems with my other files before, but this one is not working .. what am i doing wrong ??

A better way to get the selection would be using the pen tool and then creating a selection use the path you created. You'd get cleaner edges and more control of the selection imo.

But otherwise this method works well enough also

So what is the advantage of using a mask compared to just selecting with the other tools?

It seems like you are basically doing the same thing...

I personally feel that I can get a much better masking control inside photoshop than I can with the pen tool inside after effects. In the end you just need to find the best way to accomplish what you need. And I just happen to have more photoshop experience.

on after effects i can only hav the option to save as (*.aep) < and it dont work wen i try to show it what should i do

you have to go file-> export.

quicktime movies (.mov) works best for hd videos but if you're uploading to youtube try exporting as a .flv file for a faster upload. (this is b/c yt converts normal videos to .flv but if you export it as flv it doesn't have to)

I looked at a 6.0 toolbar and it showed the Icon below the Black / White color picker. It might have to be enabled from one of the menus. The photo also said that Q is the shortcut key.
