just takes it sooooooooooooooooooooooooo long to scan all my other plugins...REALLY wish I could skip that process, Never used Kore yet just due to that
@Soundsandgear Bro, i just wanna say your videos helped me alot and thanks to you, my mind has been opened to so many vst's and sounds and how to use them! i subscribed! your vids are entertaining and educational! thanks, and keep it up!
another question, i have the korg M1 Legacy Im using it with maschine as a plugin but when i save the project/song in the maschine when i reopen the project i have to reassign the sounds to the pads and banks, because the location of the sounds are not saved, am i doing something wrong?
@ThaNumber1Barber I don't have the legacy collection to test but if this is indeed happening please submit a bug report through the beta tracker, this is the purpose of having a public beta so people can find more bugs for them to fix before the final release
Damn, Im blown away by the professionalism of that presentation. Ive got Komplete 6 on the way, but i think ill give Kore a miss. Seems expensive for what it does.
It's not that expensive, it brings all native instruments sounds together in one spot. It's very useful. It also has it's own sounds and can be expanded...it has the ability to be your only sound module because it can load other vsts too.
Also makes creating new sounds quick and easy....I think Kore is a very great tool especially if you use other NI plugins.
oh...there's one thing left i would like to know.
I also like the fact that NI offes soundpacks for the Kore plug...now does the kore plugin offer a "deep" modulation when it comes to experimenting with the sounds? Is there something to tweak except for like little things like reverb and stuff like that? I mean i'm cool with presets and stuff but if i would buy a new soundpack for core 2, can i expect some kind of major tweaking/editing of the sounds with core 2 or is it all just preset?
not really, you can do things in kore you can't do regularly, like stack plugins, and there are sounds in kore that aint in the regular plugins, they are kore specific. Ram/cpu isn't really increased much, it depends on the plugins.
Cuz if i'm working with fl studio and i need to route all the instances to different mixer tracks i doubt i can do this within two or more sounds i've loaded up in just ONE kore instance. You get what i'm saying? So i would need to open up more than one kore instance, each with a different sound. Now if you would compare this to just open up the single NI plugins you want without the kore engine...what would then make sense? cuz i can't really imagine what it's like to work with ONE single kore
oh, that's cool...i was expecting such a system but i wasn't sure. Thank's for the fast reply.
And do think core 2 handles all the NI products well when it comes to CPU usage and stuff like that? I mean...i'm probably going to work with more than just one sound/instance from the NI products once i have complete 6. Do you think there is a major difference if i open up the plugins as itself or if i do everything through core?
Its going to be pretty much the same, just depends on how you want to work., sometimes I know specifically which plugin i want so I just open it. Other times I'm just browsing and use Kore as a rack module so to speak. cpu is pretty much the same in kore or out of kore
I'm thinking about buying core 2 with all the products in complete 6. If i load everything into core 2.
Now if i would load up a sound from...let's say FM8...can i actually tweak and edit the sound in the core 2 browser or do i need to bring up the FM8 interface to modulate the sound? How does this work?
Is it kinda similar to let's say, the Play engine from EastWest where i go into the library choose a instrument and it brings up the right interface? with core 2 then FM8? if not how then?
You can tweak sounds right within kore, all koresounds ( sounds from the plugins that work in kore) have various parameters mapped in kore. However, if you want to really tweak it then yes, it will open up the plugin interface for further editing. It's a very dope system, I love it.

can you record in kore or do you need a daw like studio one or cubase??
bryanbig972 1 year ago
@bryanbig972 you need a daw, it does have some step sequencing abilities but really you're going to want to open it in a daw

Sounds like you need some acoustic treatments in that room

hello there
can i hook it up with sample tank 2xl and use the internal ARP
Thanks
mic4rap 2 years ago
you can open sample tank inside Kore, any vst can be loaded inside kore actually

"Seems expensive for what it does."
I can tell you, you don't know what Kore does and can't imagine how powerful it becomes once you learned it.
It does have some limitations but, use Kore environment with Reaktor or Komplete (what i did) and it becomes a killer sonic weapon.
You can use it as a classic expander, but it goes way way beyond that.

Maybe if i come into some cash ill reconsider.

...to follow:
If you are into synthesizing, programming, layering, and intricate stuff it's a good tool.
I mostly compose D'n'B / nubreak and morphing function controlled by its smooth encoders is just a fantastic feature.
Evolving crazy sounds almost impossible to program and control without Kore, at least for me
i used to use Bidule, Console but for me only Kore2 did it.

There are some pretty cool modulation/tweaking you can do. Remember in kore you can also load fx plugins, so you can mess up some junk!
SoundsAndGear 2 years ago
I see...man i'm all hyped up now..hah.
Thanks for actually taking the time to answer...your reviews are dope man...keep doing them.
Wish you the best...good luck with everything.

No doubt bro, glad I could help!

wouldn't it be smarter than to just use the plugins without kore when we're talking about cpu and RAM usage?
I hope you get what i'm saying.
thanks anyways

Nah, I use it as a multitimbral rack, you can have multiple midi channels in kore, so you don't need multiple instances.
